Regina isn’t an idiot and Gold did drop enough hints along the way for her to figure it out. We need to give her some credit. She not blind either she can see things changing around her when Emma came to town. She did retain her FTL memories and she does have eyes all over town. She had Sidney spy for her, Dr. Whale seems to be working for her too and who knows how many others are spying for her.
[adrotate group="5"]charmingParticipantCora not only ripped out Daniel’s heart but squeezed it till it turned to dust. My man is dead. She did show Snow the grave where Daniel was supposedly buried. Jefferson did get his head cut off but it was reattached and they were in Wonderland. Who knows what properties that world has? People shrink and grow by eating mushrooms and shrubs swallows people.
charmingParticipantI don’t think she intended to rely on Gold. Afterall she was shocked he remembered his FT life which she did not expect and she also asked for his real name. She thought she can use him and she of course thought wrong. She also never to be outplayed in the Kathryn frame Mary Margaret fiasco.

There are a couple of characters who had unhappy endings in the book – Belle for one. So what happened to their memories when the curse set in? Did they lose them or perhaps keep them? Is that why Belle is locked up?
On a separate point, I believe Belle was the librarian and she was responsible for the book ultimately getting out. We don’t really see any other books around…..
I beg to differ about Belle…..her story is not ended. I think there is a lot more story to tell about her and there are not even close to her end.
The other questions however are the same ones I have myself.

Jefferson asks Regina “to write me a new story.” Do you suppose he means that literally–that the way SB and all the new identities were created was by writing them? If so, then Regina must’ve written the book, perhaps with Rumple. Yet in the pilot, Regina seemed genuinely surprised by the book’s existence..unless her surprise was at Henry’s acquisition of the book.
Yeah I am likely to go along with you except in the Pilot she knew absolutely nothing about the book which she took from Henry and read it cover to cover only to find out that the last few pages were torn out. Does that sound like the actions of someone who wrote the book though??? Wouldn’t she just say oh that book? if she wrote it?? Rewriting the story seems to be a figure of speech, meaning starting anew.
charmingParticipantEmma Swan
Princess Emma, daughter of Snow White and Prince “Charming” James
Sheriff, City of Storybrooke, ME
Savior of Fairy Tale Land
“Whether she believes it or not….she’ll save everyone.”charmingParticipantIn FTL there are the kingdoms of George, Leopold, Midas and Thomas’ father.
SB
Wonderland
OzcharmingParticipantIt is not for certain if MM’s ring is magical. It never exhibited any magic before but afterall Emma does have magic and who knows who she inherited it from whether it was from Charming or Snow?

From “Apple”: where is Gold going, why and how?
Why wasn’t Gold in Regina’s dream?I’d say to leave Sb and find out what happened to Bae and to see if he is still alive and if he is maybe reach out to him if not come to terms with it. Nevertheless, he really has nothing more left in SB he has already beated Regina nor does she have anything over him. Belle isn’t much of a pawn because of the please clause.
