I think we may get the answer to this question very soon. One of the sneak peeks for this week is of Regina trying to convince Jefferson to make one last trip out of SB to retrieve something for her in FTL. I think we'll see how he travels between the two and whether FTL still exists after the curse was enacted.
Wait… we already saw this episode…..
Yes in True North Regina said that the apple recovered was a weapon. It was “the apple”. So going to another world to recover the apple is not why they are going. Besides they look like they were dress as SB people not FTL people.
[adrotate group="5"]charmingParticipantTrue, Belle I believe was a pawn to be used later by Regina. Regina did not count on Gold being able to remember anything. That is perhaps why she was shocked after Gold used to “please” clause of their agreement, because of not only does he remember but my pawn and advantage could be rendered useless with please.
charmingParticipantHow can one explain the glass coffin remains in the bottom of the mine. The heart chamber underneath Henry Mills’ crypt, and that cabin where Snow lived in identical to the one David and MM jumped into to avoid the rain before releasing the dove back into the wild.
Don’t get me wrong each and every theory in this thread makes sense, however everyone is not taking into account those three things that are reminders of FTL in SB. I do not believe FTL was destroyed and SB built and everyone just put there. Not enough time. The curse hit and then zap Pin and Emma were out. SB being another dimension, reality or world are possibilities. Yes, it was said everyone was going to suffer not FTL/ EF by Regina at Charming and Snow’s wedding. When it is said the world we built they do not mean actually build it but the front that was put up.

I DO NOT GET IT… a lot of people in the chat room and on the blogs say… WHY DOES EMMA NOT BELIEVE ??? I do not know what evidence is she suppose to be believing.
A book that contains fairy-tales, folk lore but not necessarily history or logical facts.
Yes, Emma knows Regina is evil, but I am sure in her job as a bounty hunter Emma knew people in the real world that was just as bad and did worse things. ( Remember, she has no way of knowing what occurred in FTL except the book.) She has know way of knowing Regina and EQ are the same person.
What evidence has been presented to her that FTL existed?
What evidence has presented to her that Snow and James are her parents?
What evidence has been presented to her that magic exists?I just do not get it …. WHY should Emma believe?
Would you believe?

What if someone brought you a copy of the Star War Trilogy and said to you, you are Princess Leia and need to help Luke Skywalker fight the Empire for the Republic. You just have to believe and in two days a starship will come and pick you up and go to the other side of the galaxy. You are our only hope……….

It hurts a lot more when someone you know and care about does something to you then someone who doesn’t.
Indeed! There’s a whole other level of betrayal she’s gotta get over before she forgives David.
I liked that MM’s speech had a similar feel to the letter SW wrote to EQ.
Touche’. I was going to just say that too. The note she wrote as the Huntsman was closing in on her and made him read to the Queen. The look on her face when he read the note was the same face she made after MM said those words to her. The reactions were both identical.
She forgives Regina but does not forgive David. It does make sense. David is not so Charming and MM is not quite Snow even though both are becoming more their real selves, they both are going to make decisions that are not to our liking because they are just like us. We hate the decisions we make sometimes too. MM’s voice is starting to sound more Snow-like.

When Emma got Henry in the car my first though was actually “finally!” and only then “*(please avoid obscenities)*… no, you can’t!!!!” because as much as I’d like her to believe, I couldn’t help but think, through out the episodes, about what I would figure out of every proof that was sown to her – like Jefferson’s disappearance (“uow, he vanished! oh, the hat is there… oh god, maybe… naaaa… I guess he’s just really quick…” probably would be my reaction). So I always figured she would come to the conclusion there’s too much crazy folks around SB! 😀 But seriously, I agree with Surayya, charming, hjbau, etc… It’s not easy to turn your back on everything you’ve ever known and just start believing – in anything – without a big, real, irrefutable proof.
Exactly and well put. I agree with everything that was said. Emma is the most human of all the characters even though she was born in FTL she was raised in our world. She never had a chance to grow up and yes she runs away from responsiblity. Regina has said she had 7 addresses before coming here (SB). She had only three boxes of stuff and MM said, “that’s all…..well I guess it makes it easy when you have to move.” Her rooming with MM was probably the most stable home she has had in a very long time. Afterall Pinnochio was the onbe who dropped the ball. It was his responsibility to stay with her and make sure she arrives on her 28th b-day to save everyone. He did not. He was busy man-whoring in Phuket, Thailand.
You are reading a book and one day a person shows up at your door claiming he is your son and every character in your book is real. You have to save them. Then another person shows up and says he is a character in your book and come over with you from another world and you once again need to save us. Oh yeah by the way your Mom and Dad are here too, the ones you have never met and they are both the same age as you. Now how absurd is a story like that. There are photos of Bigfoot, the Yeti and UFO’s and people for years have been skeptical, believers and non believers alike. Those are easier pills to swallow than two people telling you to save us all.

I just realized that Charming was a shepherd, and David was a shepherd.
David= David from the Torah/Bible. Not sure if this holds any significance, but I just saw it on Jeopardy, when David was the answer to something about “this man was a shepherd….” Naturally, I thought of OUAT immediately. 😆David could have been his real name in FTL. Maybe he’s David that is going to slay Goliath. Perhaps James is his twin’s real name. Afterall when Red busted Snow in the chicken coop she did give Mary, Margaret and Frosty as possibly alias’.
charmingParticipantI think that double rainbow was one for the book and the other for Emma. Emma just wound up on top of the book so that was what he saw.

Speaking of alternate realities, has anyone questioned how Jefferson came to be in Storybrooke? Was it explained in ‘Hat Trick’? By the end of that episode’s flashback, Jefferson had been left in Wonderland by Regina. If Wonderland is a different dimension than FTL, then Jefferson would have had to be there for the curse to have brought him to SB. Or did he come to SB in a different manner?
Expect the unexpected, Accepted the unaccepted.
Jefferson is the wild card. It was never explained how he ended up in SB nor if he was able to escape Wonderland or not. It was never explained whether there are Wonderland characters in SB of not. The curse is mentioned, he said a couple of times but never expanded on it.
charmingParticipantSidney is of no use to anyone. His game’s up with Emma and with that he is no longer of any use to Regina. She does get rid of things that are useless to her.
