It is not for certain whether she will return in FTL or SB or both. Bae returned only in FTL. August as of yet is seen only in SB. There is a possibility of a FTL appearence of Belle.

It was claimed that Rumple has lived for centuries and is only alive due to being possesed by magic. Bae is confirmed to lack magic so…..that makes him several centuries old. There is that room with 20 doors but only 16 doors are showing as previously mentioned. He could potentially be in one of twenty worlds but I do not seeing anyone that is several centuries old except for the remaining members of the Rolling Stones. Yes I agree there is absolutely no confirmation as to the fate of Bae. In fact the return is the only episode that he’s really mentioned in SB, while all other appearences and references were in FTL.
charmingParticipantHence that key ring of skeleton keys is symbolic of what Emma is to the curse. The skeleton keys just open doors and allows the person to walk in. Emma triggers past memories of FTL in others (ie. Graham, possibly David or Kathryn) then when everyone remembers collectively they will all fight the final battle. I do not believe Regina is the real enemy. I think it is Gold/ Rumple or someone they have not revealed yet.
charmingParticipantKathryn returned from being missing. Bae’s storyline returns. Mary Margaret returns to her life from being released from jail. The show returned from hiatus.
charmingParticipantBased on what we know about Emma, there is a good case for SB being 2007. Oct. 23, 2011 was the Pilot and in the Pilot was Emma’s 28th birthday. Twenty eight years prior is 1983 but Jennifer Morrison’s birthday is in Apr. 12, 1979. 1979 + 28 = 2007. Emma Swan’s birthday can be Oct. 23, 1979.

I think August’s ‘illness’ is that he turning back into a wooden puppet. Perhaps the deal for him to escape the curse was that he had until Emma’s 28th birthday to find her and help her believe before being turned back.
That is a good explaination. That can explain a lot and perhaps he has six months to do so until he becomes completely wood.
charmingParticipantEmma: “Really?”
Twice i can remember. Pilot when Ryan flipped the table with Emma in the red dress and again after Regina said, “enjoy your cocoa” before meeting Ashley/ Cinderella.

Bae is afterall human and going to a land without magic he could have gotten hit by a bus, struck by lightning or perished in a plane crash.
charmingParticipantHindsight being always 20/20 I’m thinking it would have been easier if August was Baelfire. So it better be good as to August’s real identity.

Does anyone know what “Baelfire” means? It’s a very unique and powerful name. Really leaves an impression on you.
Baelfire is Celtic Pagan meaning bonfire which is lit to burn overnight to celebrate Beltrane to welcome Spring.
