I believe Gold and Regina’s magic abilities are suppressed and Emma is the unlock code. (The bottle with the hairs of Charming and Snow could be a key factor here). How will a good final battle be if Emma was fighting Regina and only one had magic? Gold’s only here for Bae everyone else is inconsequential. His power as a human is information and his deals which he does not break to remain a man of his word. As a human those things gives us power sometimes more so than money.
[adrotate group="5"]In Peter Pan wasn’t it important for people to believe in fairies. Fairies have magic. August needs Emma to believe. She has magic and can bring it back. She believes then she can use it. She can use it she can help break the curse and save everyone. This makes for a good case of August = Peter Pan. Pinnochio was never obligated to believe in anything; he needed to be brave, selfless and not lie. He does a final act of selfess bravery to save Geppetto from the whale and for that he became a real boy. Is August that? or is he demonstrating Peter Pan qualities???
I believe Gold does not want magic back. Magic means no Bae. His request will be to leave town and never return, after he help’s her get Henry. I believe in exchange for help with Henry there will be another favor involved and then the leaving town is the cash in of the first.
There is no official confirmation of magic. In the Pilot after Emma storms out of the car when Henry says 44 I’m not telling you street. She shuts the VW Beetle’s door and up above in the near background the telephone pole sparks. Down the street in the center of town there are a series of traffic lights that blink red after the clock starts to move they slowly one by one stop blinking and working. Driving into SB the rain stops at the town line and you can see it again as Emma is trying to drive out of town before crashing. There’s magic but I believe it is Emma that has to bring and Gold request is for her to get out of town so there is no magic to reactivate. Yes Emma will reactivate magic I believe she is the key and does not realize it. Both Gold, Rumple and Henry eluded to that fact.
Totally agree. The price paid was FTL being gone. I beg to differ on the magic. Jefferson said Emma brought magic back. August mentioned to the affect of Emma not believing. I think those two comments are connected if magic is to come to SB even though there are traces of it.
There was nothing to point towards Baelfire. It was a very thin case for Bae. I still see Pinnochio, White Knight, a real guy (Walt Disney, Grimm, Lewis Carroll or HCA) those theories with some life in it. Of course the Pinnochio is heading in that direction next in my opinon.

Jefferson was originally from the Enchanted Forest. The curse only affected people who came from the Enchanted Forest. Besides, why? We’ve got Bae and Pinnocchio. Why would they suddenly say he’s some random dude who we haven’t seen the backstory of? We only officially found out Ruby was Red when she was in FTL, didn’t we?
Do we know the curse only affedcted the people of the Enchanted Forest? Jefferson being in SB says otherwise. Regina never said that everyone effected will just be limited to FTL. She said all of you. Let’s define all of you. All of you in FTL or all of you everyone she knows? We do not know that. We only know what she said and that is an open threat not limited anyone. We only saw part of that picture when the Dark Curse was coming and we do not know who she meant by everone. I diagree.
Explain the Bae and Pinochio part of your comment. They have yet to explain Dr, Whale. The nurse who gets the rose before Regina visits Belle. and few other characters…. are Bae and Pinnochio right now major characters?? They also have not explained Frederick, Kings; George and Midas; throw in Leopold. There are plenty of unexplained characters.This now makes for better case of Emma being Alice in Wonderland.
