I think one of the messages of the show is that there isn’t pure evil or pure goodness. I’m surely not defending what Regina has done so far, but we need to learn of the real reason behind it, yet. Yes, she’s evil, but she’s also desperate and lonely, not to mention her affection for Henry (not the healthiest, but it’s there). Pure evil wouldn’t feel anything of the sort. Pure evil doesn’t need a reason for its acts and just does it for the pleasure of doing it. We haven’t seen any of the characters do that so far. They did horrible things, but they always did them because they had a reason. It wasn’t always understandable to us – and it shouldn’t – but they were driven to do them by their emotions, something true evil doesn’t really have.
I like to use Lord Voldemort as an example of pure evil. The guy truly didn’t have any morals, didn’t care for anybody or anything but himself. He did the things he did because he could do it and because he found pleasure in them (and because he thought he was right).Let’s face it, every single character is as good as they are bad. Whether they were bad in FTL and now good Storybrooke or good and bad in FTL….whatever every single charcter has wronged someone to do right for themselves. Some have done wrong to try to save another. yes, I agree with you there is no one who is completely good or completely bad. Everyone is a victim either by another or themselves or circumstance and yet at the same time each one is also a hero in their own right.

You have to admit it is still her. The limits of magic I do not believe can really change anyone but use their own personality against themselves and then make them given into the magic or rather surrender themselves. That kind of change.
charmingParticipantYes, Emma has a lot of swans but it does not necceassrily make her swan princess she fit an Alice profile. I really have no concrete proof but connecting dots to her being Alice does fit. She herself has no Alice qualities so much but then again there are many versions of Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, some versions even combining the two.
charmingParticipantYeah, I can accept that but if they do some how reveal that it is real name I want credit for that. Otherwise she’s just Ruby/ Red Riding Hood.
charmingParticipantI recently rewatched Snow Falls. When Snow and Charming are walking and Charming asks about her and the Queen after he cuts her down from the net…… Snow says yes to the question to did you keep her from getting her true love…not sure of exact quote. I can see she feels sorry for haveing done that. I can think and will say that Young Snow—-the Bailey Madison version was a spoiled brat….but the Ginnifer Goodwin isn’t so much. Remember after she took the potion to forget Charming…..when she wanted to smash the bluebird, and during the dwarf intervention…can we come to a conclusion that she sounds like a spoiled brat in that scene before Grumpy takes her back to Rumple. Even before she was kissed back into the real world by Charming there were some traces of a spoiled little girl. Something happened that made her smell the apples like say the death of her Dad King Leopold or maybe even before that that changed her from a spoiled girl to the humble girl who is the fairest of them all, that we all know and love.
charmingParticipantI’m inclined to disagree with you. You mean to compare some former drug addicted daughter of a past away drug addicted star to a young pretty girl. Is there a comaprison no disrespect to Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland. Was she just saying Liza because of Ruby’s eye make up? I need to see that episode again. Everytime I had watched it I got out of that her real was Eliza or Liza and she likes to call herself Ruby as a nickname and everyone calls her that.
charmingParticipantUntil I have concrete proof of otherwise, I am going with Wonderland is a prison. Or a place where you can banish someone. Maybe King George is there along with King Midas. They are visibly absent near curse time. it was a surprise to see him show up as a DA in Storybrooke indicating he is alive in FTL. Whale a banished FTL character?? we really do not know if he knows or what he knows or remembers for that matter.
If that is the case maybe the cuckoo ward is a holding place. Everyone there wass probably transferred from Wonderland to the cuckoo ward in Storybrooke as a result of curse.

And when i say fairytale land i do not mean all the other worlds besides the real world. I mean the Enchanted Forest is where all the characters have been from. Jefferson is from the Enchanted Forest as well. It seems like he lives in Regina’s kingdom. I think Wonderland is a separate world that does not exist in the same space as the Enchanted Forest.
I actually think that all the worlds may have been pulled into the real world by the curse, but that, of course, causes a where did all of those people go problem.
Yes, the where did the people go problem. It can be easily solved if we only knew how big Storybrooke actually is. This is Maine now. Most of it could be forest. That center of town could be one of several mini town centers that make up Storybrooke. My town five parts that make it up and that’s not including within the parts there are neighborhoods too.
Jefferson did draw a map he has a good idea of the size. Hat Trick. He shows Emma a map. If we can rewatch a pause and look maybe we can figure out at least a litltle bit if not all.
charmingParticipantEliza mean– my god is bountiful. God of plenty.
Red/ Eliza does have a lot to offer ans she does help everyone she’s friends with. Henry and Emma with those cocoas with cinnamon. She helped Emma as a deputy even if it was for one episode and she did find Kathryn. She was going to as Snow said save them all. (even though it was FTL) I think it can apply. She took Ashley/ Cinderella, Mary Margaret/ Snow White, and Emma out for a Valentine’s girl night out. I am willing to bet she helped Sean out a little to plan the proposal. She has plenty to offer, remember she won the respect of Granny, even though she never lost it but did get her to say, “I’m proud of you!” even it it was nearly under her breath.
This is me vouching for Eliza to be Red’s Storybrooke name. Consider my application submitted.

I think Kathryn/Abigail is the baby that Cora traded away as her first born. Once Rumpelstiltskin came back to collect on the deal, King Midas was so upset he divorced and banished Cora from his Kingdom. Cora ended up marrying Henry who as Nonnie states is likely wealthy but not royalty or nobility. And although Cora may not truly loves Henry, she probably likes the facet that she can manipulate him.
I never made that connection before. 😯
Frederick could have been the sacrifice to be made to get Abigail back thus “the nag with the bad” attitude.
