ParticipantRumple always has the magic ready, right there on the counter. It’s been that way from the beginning. It’s on the counter, right under the counter in the case, or, directly behind him. It’s always been a question…did he know they were coming, so he has their magic waiting for them?
Lucky for Emma he didn’t offer her a fail safe. But I’m confident she won’t lose her magic. Hopefully his spell won’t work for the same reason Cora couldn’t take her heart.

ParticipantI love Once because… Magic happens.
I love all the magic trinkets, things, symbols, magic wands, magic potions, spells, curses. I love it all. It’s fun to learn how they work, how magic is created, grows, is learned, how magic is transferred from people to objects. I guess it’s a reason I love Mr. Gold, he’s the keeper of all things magic.
I particularly LOVED how Elizabeth portrays her character’s reaction to Elsa and Emma’s magic. Her whole face lights up and she’s positively radiant. It doesn’t matter if Emma’s mad magic is directed at her, Ingrid is ecstatic, and comes to life when Emma bursts in magical confusion. In the forest, when Elsa overcame her fears and used her magic, Ingrid’s face lit up with delight.
And that’s how I feel. I light up when magic happens. I really liked the season promos and the brief description of magic. There’s beauty in it. But also great danger.

ParticipantI think Jen said somewhere that the Emma loses control of her powers has less to do with her insecurities with her mom and more about, this is what she missed out with Henry.
I don’t think Emma feels that she’s being replaced by baby Neal. I don’t know, I think that feeling of replacement makes more sense for children who are slightly older than the younger baby.
My mom’s goddaughter is only a year younger than her older sister. The older sister might not be able to vocalize it but I feel fairly sure that she resents not being the baby anymore. there’s things should be able to do on her own at this age and she still needs mummy’s attention.
I don’t get that vibe with Emma.
That’s not to say Emma can’t feel some resentment towards Snow but I think Emma’s worked past those issues. She even told DQ that she understands now why her parents gave her up.
I totally agree. I think her initial feelings, when she was with all those babies, we’re related more towards her own feelings of missing out on her time with baby Henry. They spoke of first time mommies, and she lost that opportunity with her own son. She felt out of place. The mommies were binding over a shared experience, one that Emma never got to experience.
Later, with Ingrid, she lost control over her feelings, emotions, and magic by allowing Ingrid to bring up past feelings that Emma had already worked through. Those fears, that her brother is “normal” and more loved, that her family fears her, that she’s being used, those are fears that Emma fully knows are unrealistic and false. Emma stated the truth, boldly. My family loves me! However, for that brief moment, Emma allowed Ingrid to present those fears as reality, and they are not Emma’s reality.
Rumple was right when he told the crowd to heed Emma’s words when she asked them to leave her alone. They didn’t, and they escalated the situation.
Emma will come to terms with her doubts about her family. She knows the truth, that they love her and trust her. It’s her magic that she’s doubting, in my opinion, not her family.

ParticipantAw, thanks RG. Cute picture. Snap a picture, grab a memory. Literally.

ParticipantI really, REALLY hope she’s not just in flashbacks. Except for the whole dead is dead thing. But Rumple said magic can be recreated from the dust of magic.

ParticipantMaybe he’ll say “I didn’t take that picture. I thought you did.”
I honestly don’t recall which picture they’re talking about.

ParticipantOn second thought, I don’t believe Ingrid put Elsa in the urn. I don’t think she’d risk opening the urn and having it suck her back into it again.
Had to be Anna. Maybe Anna thought it would take Ingrid, but it took Elsa instead. Possibly Anna/Elsa came up with the plan together and it backfired.

ParticipantPersonally, I think it should be Henry who helps Emma. If her powers are out of control due to issues of abandonment, Henry should be her touchstone. He is her living proof that love and trust can still be had even if you have been abandoned by your mother.
Emma can’t fault Snow without looking in the mirror at herself.
However, in the end, David should play the larger role. It’s been his greatest fear that he wouldn’t be a good enough father to Emma. Now, when she needs him most, he should be there for her. He is the person who’s life was in the most danger due to her magic. He needs to be there. Before Hook, and before Regina. It’s David and Henry who should be there for Emma.

ParticipantI kinda hope its Belle who wants to leave the provincial life and venture outside the Storybrooke town lines. Rumple can follow her, but, I hope it’s her decision to leave him (temporarily) and find her own adventure.

ParticipantIt wouldn’t fit the Frozen storyline for Anna to put Elsa in the urn. But, it would fit the ONCE storyline. Especially if Anna is led to believe that Elsa has frozen Kristoff.
I think it will be Elsa who Urns herself, shuts herself away, after accidentally hurting Anna. But, that act of sacrifice will unfreeze Anna.
But, speaking of the urn, what will happen with the urn ashes that Mr. Gold collected. He said the magic remained, but was now in a different form. Can he recreate the urn? And, if that magic remained in the ashes of the urn, what happened to the ashes of Maleficent, or, the green dust of Zelena. They’ve been destroyed, but does their magic remain? Waiting to be reawakened?
