This scene just sets up the next scene, Rumple entering his shop and finding Hook. The last frame is from inside Golds shop, looking at the door from Hook’s view.
This scene just gets Belle away from Gold’s little shop of horrors and back to her library.
My favorite line of this episode was spoken by Regina. Emma tells Regina that she’s not giving up on their friendship, even if Regina sill wants to kill her. Regina says “Wait, Emma. I don’t want to kill you”
I don’t care who was right, or wrong in that convo, I’m glad they’re mending fences….whatever.
But the way Regina read that line. Her facial expression. Well, it just cracks me up every time I watch it. Lana is the best!
If it weren’t for that star, I’d say we won’t see Lilith again. However, I’ll give another crack theory.
Magical beings, when granted released from the Sorcerer’s hat, are marked with a star. Their star disappears from the box, and is transferred to the person. Like a brand. They are branded by the sorcerer and sent to the land without magic.

Sounds like she’s putting together a fake family, not finding her real family.
The family shall be completed sounds like she’s already begun to collect family members but doesn’t have a complete set yet.
I guess none of those foster kids took a liking to her. Sorry things didn’t turn out the way she wanted.
oh my! Sister in blood? Sister in magic? Did Snow name Emma after someone else? Are there more than one Emma? Juicy Prophecy. Did Snow Queen find that prophecy? Or did she write it?
Isn’t that what we want from this show? Fan service? Since the writers have chosen to propel Emma with Hook, don’t they have an obligation to also acknowledge the Neal fans? We are a huge part if their audience. I want them to service my desires to have At least the memory of Neal shown in meaningful ways. He’s no longer in our story, but he made a huge impact on Emma’s life and in my personal enjoyment of the show.
Personally, I respect the fact that they give me a cookie now and then. And I’m grateful that they did it in a meaningful way last night.
However, Regina already has a family who loves her. She has Henry, but wants more.
Rumple had a family who loved him. He had Bae. But he wanted more. In addition, Rumple now has Belle, but wants more.
It’s what you feel. You’re either appreciative for what you have, and nourish it, as in Snow and David. Or, you’re unappreciative and selfish, and your relationship withers.
