ParticipantI believe Rumple is alive and still powerful. They showed us the scene where Rumple was in his shop, frantic, trying to get that cuff off. They implied that he was so frantic that he even thought of using that sword (who’s sword?) to cut off his own hand. But when they showed him in the next scene, he was strong, determined, confident and unafraid. I think that in the moments between those two scenes, though he had no magic, he used one of the many enchanted objects in his shop to alter his fate. I think the kiss he gave his father as they left our world was huge. I believe that kiss of death altered his redemption and his fate. that was a HUGE scene to me, and I see it as a life changing moment for Rumple. Whether he loses his Dark Ones powers or becomes even darker, I have no idea. But I’m looking forward to a flashback scene of what happened in those brief moments where Rumple transformed himself from frantic to deadly.

ParticipantIf this is an altered curse that Regina is enacting, which has everyone “Going Home”, I can’t imagine she wouldn’t have put at tweek in there somewhere which would bring her back to Henry. Like, a time limit, an object to be found, an enchanted clock or compass. Something which would bring her back to Henry. I cannot imagine true love kiss with Robin, as I would imagine Regina to be much like Emma, no time for love until shes reunited with her son. Or she leaves something with Hook, or Emma Which will help them bring Henry to her. RegIna knows that magic comes with a price, but she’s also learned by now that magic comes with many loopholes.

ParticipantHowever, in that That scenario Emma would never have been in our world, or have met Neal. Are you saying you picture Snow raising baby Emma In the EF, while at the same time Emma is raising Henry in our world? I need a deeper imagination. You come up with some crazy theories that I just can’t picture, but many of them play out just as you describe.
I’m gonna need an OUAT AU storybook to keep track of not only who’s who, but who’s where, and who’s when.
I really love and appreciate being able to come here and read all the wonderful theories and thoughts. It gives me such insight into things that you all see and feel, things that I might have overlooked.

ParticipantI kind of picture the doctor and nurse looking at baby Henry, laying him in his hospital crib, talking about him, maybe putting a tiny tag around his wrist. As they walk away, the camera pans to a wider shot, and we see a familiar face looking through the nursery window.

ParticipantIf he removes the dagger from his father’s back, and the name revealed is……Rumbelle! Christmas comes early.

ParticipantI would love to see Rumpel’s shadow coming to release him from the cuff. Rumple always has a Plan B. Always. Redeemed or not, I want him to remain The Dark One in some ways. We will have to wait and see, as he removes the dagger from his father’s back, if Rumpelstiltzkin’s name remains on the dagger.

ParticipantI’ve always believed that Blue was exactly what they presented her to be. A strict and stern mother figure to the fairies. I did think there would be more fairy action besides Tink. More fairy magic. More Ruehl Gorm. I’d love to see a full Ruehl Gorm story. I know she’s dead, and I know that dead is dead. But I’m holding out hope till the bitter end.

ParticipantI see your point. I’m just frustrated that Peter is outsmarting them all in the short game. I have to keep in mind that Rumpel is great at looking at the big picture and planning for future glitches.
Possibly if Blue had been nicer to Tink we would have believed in her more. So sad that when you don’t believe in a fairy she becomes weaker, and dies. I’m still hoping that Tink has enough belief in herself that she will somehow save Blue because I’d love to see the sneaky fairy theories play out
I don’t go for the theory that Tink will become the new Morher Superior. Somehow I don’t picture a fairy who encourages Regina to go hit on a stranger in a bar becoming head nun. I like Tink’s spunk a lot, and I hope she sticks around a while longer.

ParticipantOne one hand, I love the redemption story lines. But on the other hand, I kind of love Regina and Rumpelstiltzkin being evil and bad.
I have to say that I’m disappointed that the three characters who I thought each had supreme magical powers have each become magically weaker as they become redeemed. Rumple, Regina, and Blue should each have been able to overpower Peter. But in my opinion, their magic is weak compared to where they were a year ago. Regina can’t perform powerful magic without assistance from Emma? Rumple, the ultimate puppet master so easily outsmarted by Peter? Blue, running in fear? And dying?
As we watch them become redeemed as humans, are we also watching them lose their magical abilities?

ParticipantRegina- there’s something I haven’t told you
Emma- what now
Regina- those stories in Henry’s book? I wrote them. Everyone’s memories come from the stories in Henry’s book. But the new curse will put everyone back to where the were before I wrote the book, back to what really happened in the Enchanted Forest.
