Yeah, she is another kind of fighter. She will not attack people with a weapon, but she is brave, because she know the dangerous there are everywhere and face them altough. Only with her mind, her heart and the truth as her weapon and with that she get the Dark Ones heart without ripping it out. No one else has achieved that before. lBae has his heart before he was the Dark One.
I agree. Strength doesn’t always have to be found at the end of a sword. Sometimes strength is found within.

Would George be stupid enough to go after Henry, knowing that it would bring about Regina’s wrath?
I think George has hit the reckless stage so maybe he is stupid enough to do that, or maybe he does it to turn Regina and the Charmings against each other again
and I know right? Leave the poor family alone, is it so bad to give them 1 good day? I don’t know who has it worse the Charmings or Derek Hale
Now, that’s an interesting theory. Divide and conquor. And it wouldn’t be that difficult either? Regina has proven to be easily manipulated, and the Charmings have every reason to hate Regina. So turning these two against each other would be rather easy.

I think if Neal is Bae, there will be fireworks when he shows up in Storybrooke.
Here’s an interesting quote from Bobby:
CARLYLE: The stuff that’s coming up, that I’m just about to do in the next three or four episodes, is mind-blowing. It just takes it somewhere else again. I was like, “Oh, my god!” You actually will feel sorry for Gold. There’s his love for Belle and he’s trying to be a better man, but we’ll see how long that lasts.
That was in recent interview (in which he was promoting his new movie). So…if Neal's coming back in episode 14-ish, which some fans guessed from MRJ and K&H…I guess that gives Rumple/Gold three or fours episodes to do really unspeakable things, particularly with the arrival of Hook and Cora. I'm thinking Bae is going to show up at the worst possible time. And it breaks my heart a little.
Hmmm, judging from this quote, it sounds like we’ll actually be sympathizing with Gold. He said “you will actually feel sorry for Gold.” So, I don’t think he’ll be doing anything bad. But rather, bad stuff will be done to him.
And I’m sorry about that horrible tweet. Fandoms have an uncanny ability to act like immature children sometimes. I love MRJ and I hope he becomes a series regular pretty soon. I loved his performance in “Tallahassee.”

I have a sneaking suspicion that either August or Baelfire had a hand in writing the book. I know the timing is a bit off, but I just can’t shake the feeling that they’re some how involved.
And I love the idea of Belle playing a role in discovering the book’s origins. 😀
I’ve always believed too. But the timeline kind of screws with the theory. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Baelfire was involved with it somehow. But if I had to bet money, I’d say the fairies wrote it. But that theory also kind of involves Baelfire. Baelfire’s most life-changing event happened because of a fairy. Being sent to another world. This event led to the creation of the curse and eventually, the fairies writing the book. There’s definitely some kind of connection there. So, if the fairies wrote the book as a way to help break the curse (a curse that was inspired by Baelfire), then he must be connected to the book somehow.
cherishParticipantUgh, seriously? This is becoming too much. I know putting the Charming family in peril forwards the plot, but this is getting ridiculous. Can’t they just be happy for an episode or two?
cherishParticipantThanks for all your responses Belle lovers! 😀

Despite what others may think, I actually think Belle is a very strong young woman. She sacrificed herself to save her village and family from the Ogre Wars. She was brave enough to stand up to Rumpel when he pulled away from her out of fear. And after spending 28 years locked in a tiny room, she was able to control her feelings of hatred for Regina, as well as Rumpel’s. I admire her and think she’s a very strong female character. But due to the lack of screentime she’s received this season, it’s difficult to see that.
You know, I agree. I know some people like to fault Belle for being too weak or not proactive enough. But given the horrible way she’s been treated all her life, of course she’s going to be taken advantage of. But the few times where she has shown strength, it’s been rather striking. Giving up her freedom to secure the freedom of her villagers, trying to help Rumpel reform his dark ways, having faith in Ruby. All of these things should be commended. Not everyone would have the courage to do these things.
cherishParticipantQuestion. Why do you guys love Belle? Someone in another thread was confused as to why Hook hitting Belle would upset people so much considering we’ve seen Rumpel. Regina and Cora do far worse. She speculated that the fact that Hook hit Belle made it a lot worse for some reason. So, what do you guys think?

Maybe not the right post to ask this question but it’s been part of the discussion here so..
What is it about Belle that everybody likes so much ??
Sure she is a nice girl and all. She says some likeable and agreeable things like “Nobody desides my fate but me”..and such.
But to me, the character is just still kind of flat. The nice girl who likes everyone but always gets taken advantage of and put in captivity, but that doesn’t even bother her it seems. No no ! she forgives and forgets and loooves the people putting her in jails…..I like her because she’s sweet and understanding. And her introduction in “Skin Deep” did have a strong impact on me. She’s one of the few characters on the show that is truly innocent. So, whenever something bad happens to her, people are going to be upset.
cherishParticipantYes, it’s always wrong for a man to hit a woman. I’m not excusing that. I just want for the viewer to look beyond the realm of numero uno (number one, the “victim”), and try to see the situation from somebody else’s perspective before joining the group of people in our world who would rather be victims; who put everything they see, even fiction on an altar with their own name on it, before remembering to think of somebody other, than themselves.
We already know Hook’s point of view. He didn’t hit Belle because she deserved it or did something terrible to him. He hit her because she was no longer of any use to him. And then he preceeded to try to kill her. We don’t really need to understand his point of view. We already saw it. He was about to commit the exact same act that he hates Rumpel for doing. Killing an innocent woman.
I understand Hook wanting to kill Rumpel, but Belle is a complete innocent in this situation.
