Play out the original beauty and the beast thing!!!! What if, Hook ‘kills’ Rumple…(or rumple is dying or something).. Belle cries over him or whatever…and kisses him? True loves kiss? Wakes him up, he isn’t the dark one…and there you go.
This has now become my theory. 😉 😀 😀
Aww, that would be a lovely way to incorporate the Beauty and the Beast mythology into the show. We haven’t seen too many nods to the original tale or the Disney version in season 2, so it would be nice if the writers could end the season with a redemptive kiss from Belle.
[adrotate group="5"]cherishParticipantI think Hook will be too focused on getting his hands on the dagger to pester poor Belle. However, I do agree that he will at the very least attempt to bring her over to his side. But he’ll probably leave her alone after his first failed attempt.
And in regards to the dagger, I have a feeling Cora told Hook about the dagger. Cora was one of Rumpel’s pupils, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she somehow gained knowledge of its existence.
cherishParticipantMy best buds would probably be Snow, Belle and Ruby. I also have a soft spot for children, so Baelfire, Henry and Grace would be my little sidekicks. 😀
cherishParticipantBut to be fair, the show is actually staying true to the original source material. The Beast is always evil and terrifying, and the Beauty is supposed the pure, innocent maiden who brings out his better side. The only version of Beauty and the Beast that doesn’t have the Beast as a pure murderer is the Disney version. But nearly every other version of the tale I’ve read or seen on film, the Beast kills innocent people. So, Rumpel is actually one of the tamer versions of the Beast.
And as far as Rumpel abusing Belle goes, he only grabbed her and threw into the cell after he thought she was working for the Evil Queen. So yeah, I’d be a little pissed too. 😆 And his feelings towards her were pure and he wanted to let her go, but she returned soon after to give him true love’s kiss. So, he was actually being quite lenient with her.
Disney has a way of brainwashing people into thinking that their version is the truth. 😕
cherishParticipantSnow White: Like someone else in this thread already stated, she’s a girl with a sword. How can I not love her?
Prince Charming – Noble, compassionate, strong, loyal and darn pretty. I have no choice but to love him. 😀
Rumpel/Gold – He is the epitome of the sympathetic villain. He does so many terrible things, but then I remember his love for Baelfire and Belle and just want to pet him on the head. 😀
Belle – Sweet, compassionate, understanding, and probably has the single greatest wardrobe in Storybrooke. 😀

I can’t wait to see Belle’s first character centric episode. I hear it’s going to be episode 2×11.
I’m excited too. The only I know so far is that…
There's a scene between Belle, Rumpel and Hook in the episode. Oh, the tension! 😮

Do we honestly believe that Regina never manipulated innocent people to fulfill her own desires? We’ve seen it numerous times. I honestly believe Rumpel and Regina are on equal playing fields right now.
And as far as Rumpel being worse because he chose power over Bae, Regina did the same thing. She sacrificed her father for the curse. They’ve both made selfish decisions in order to either hold onto their power or further their own goals.
cherishParticipantNO! I love seeing Mr. Gold this way. 😀 Besides, it’s not like we aren’t seeing his evil side. We still get to see his trickster ways back in the Enchanted Forest. So, Rumpelstiltskin will always be around, but Mr. Gold will begin to reform his ways. I like the mirror images the show is presenting us with his character. We get to see him as the evil trickster back in the Enchanted Forest, but we get to see a slighter softer version of him in Storybrooke.

-Granny using her crossbow. A 70 year old woman with any weapon is bound to be awesome. 😆-Belle hiding Ruby in the library. She such a sweetheart. I’m really enjoying the growing friendship between Belle and Ruby.
-Mr. Gold helping little Henry with his nightmares. I love seeing Mr. Gold take those little steps towards being a better man. I’d like to think that Belle had a positive influence on him.
-Finally meeting Red’s biological mother. RIP.
-The promo for the next episode! ZOMBIES! 😮
Least Favorite Moments:
-Nothing big. I just really hate King George. Like…A LOT. 😡cherishParticipant@SnowFallsღ wrote:
^I think his favor is going to be for Emma to find Baelfire. Mr. Gold can’t leave Storybrooke without losing his memory, so he’ll probably send Emma out to look for Bae. I seriously doubt Mr. Gold would use Emma’s favor for anything less. His whole reason for creating the curse was so that he could find Baelfire, so finding Baelfire will probably be on Emma’s to do list once she comes back from the Enchanted Forest.
Yes, I agree. With the writers deciding to redeem our villains a bit, they’ve made sure to show them doing a few kind acts. With Regina, it’s her deciding to stop using magic. And for Mr. Gold, it’s his deals. His favor to Henry was the second time this season that he’s helped someone for free. In “The Doctor,” Mr. Gold reattached Dr. Whale’s arm free of charge. The only thing he wanted was for Dr. Whale to admit that he needed magic.
And on a more obvious note, the writers are also probably trying to hint at a possible connection between Mr. Gold and Henry. Baelfire will most likely be revealed to be Henry’s father, so I think the writers are setting up a possible relationship between Mr. Gold and Henry.
