And then there is the Beauty and the Beast element. At the end of the Disney version, the Beast is attacked by a mob and fatally stabbed, but Belle heals him with her tears. Hmmm…I’m thinking dagger to the chest via Regina and True Love causing there to no longer BE a Dark One.
That’s what I was thinking as well. I think the writers will hold onto the Beauty and the Beast element. True love’s kiss in the end will determine Rumpel’s fate. Hopefully, Belle will be close by when his time comes.

^When did they say that? I could have sworn that they only said that “not all fan favorites will get their happy endings.”
That’s what I thought too. I don’t remember them saying anything about killing someone.
cherishParticipantAfter viewing this week’s episode, I’m becoming more convinced that Baelfire was sent to Neverland. I think the infamous “price” that Rumpel has managed to allude for the past 28 years will finally catch up to him. I think his punishment will be that he went to the wrong world. 🙁
cherishParticipantI liked a lot about this episode. I loved seeing the two sides of Rumpel/Gold. Actually scratch that, 3 sides. Pre-Dark One Rumpel, post-Dark One Rumpel and Mr. Gold. His monstrous actions in Fairytale land were contrasted brilliantly with his more even tempered and compassionate actions towards Belle in Storybrooke. And as always, Robert Carlyle did a phenomenal job.
I loved seeing Belle and Ruby become close, and I’m glad Belle is going to live on her own for a little while. She needs some time to reassess everything and everyone in her life right now. And Mr. Gold giving her the library was just too sweet for words. I really liked that.
Overall, wonderful episode. The writers have been hitting it out of the park for 4 weeks in a row. Keep up the good work. 😀
cherishParticipantSo, just because Emma is missing from an episode, the show is in danger of being cancelled? I’m not sure that’s entirely accurate. So far, most people seem to be enjoying the first three episodes, and there’s a lot of excitement about the next episode.
cherishParticipantI ADORE the Canadian promo! I wonder if the scene of him giving Belle the necklace takes place before she’s kidnapped or after? I’d like for it to be after. In the promo she tells Rumpel “thank you for changing.” I’m praying that this takes place at the end of the episode. I’d like for Rumpel to finally start making some changes for Belle. She’s a good girl. 😉
cherishParticipantRumpel’s episode always end up making me love him even more. I hate seeing him before he became the Dark One. He was so weak and vulnerable. It’s almost too painful to watch. My heart just aches for the guy in these clips. 😥
cherishParticipantOMG! Thank you so much for posting! I can’t wait to see this episode. The idea of seeing Hook has me over the moon, and Rumpel’s episodes always pull at my heartstrings.
cherishParticipantGAH! These photos! I can’t wait to see this episode. Rumpel’s episode have always been some of my favorite episodes.

Could “The Crocodile” be the “Skin Deep” of season 2?
Aww, that would be lovely. I really enjoyed Skin Deep last season, so it would be nice if the writers could create another episode to match it.
