Yeah this episode was kind of a mess…
Liked:
-CS, which is extremely weird for me. The shots of them in the firld of flowers were just too beautiful. Kind of like Emma’s hair.
-Hook and Emma finding out about Hennry and Violet. Too sweet!!
-I enjoy Arthur’s level of insanity…
– “those two could outlive a cockroach” Regina’s sass is always on point
-I like that we can now start to piece together Snowing’s betrayel of Emma. It is starting to make sense.
Mixed:
-See I kind of liked the sand as a plot device, but it’s also creepy. Not sure what I thought of the whole Camelot storyline. (I stand by my statement that Camelot is a cult.)
-Merida making Rumple brave. I love the idea of getting to see Rumple fight his cowardness and become a hero. Hopefully A&E will use this to fix the fact that they butchered Rumple’s character development in 4A. I want this plotline to pull on my heart strings. Only I don’t really see how it helps the story or what Emma’s plan is. Totally confused as to why, but so excited to see Rumple struggle with this and actually become his character again.
Disliked:
-THE GAUNTLET. I am so over the existence of this thing. See Belle?? It doesn’t point to someone’s true love it points to their greatest weakness!!! I will never not be mad about the butchering of Rumple’s character last season. Rumple’s greatest weakness is his dagger. Belle should have known that. Sorry, seeing the gauntlet brought up bad memories.
-The whole Snowing thing was weird to me. Just seemed like a weird plan.
-How is Lancelot alive? Can we see that backstory?
-Random connection to young Emma visuon. That was strange.
-What even is this timeline? I am beyond confused as to how it fits in at all.
Overall this episode was messily executed, but some of the overarching plot points are really nice. I have hope for an enjoyable season.
[adrotate group="5"]chloeloversParticipantWith the new information regarding Arthur having alterior motives maybe Merlin did prophesize that the saviors name was Emma. Arthur new the storybrooke gang was lying about it, but he wanted to keep quiet in order to gain their trust and learn more about why they would lie.

This is what I’m thinking. Arthur seems to have his memories.

I loved everything David had to do in this episode. I think it was great for his character. Especially the stuff with Emma. The scene in her office killed me.
The scene with Hook and Emma. I will never be a big suporter of Captainswan but I loved this scene. Emma’s logic considering her being better seemed like Old Emma trying to convince herself that she was fine being the dark one. I don’t think Emma was just there to trick Hook. She seemed genuinaly hurt. Maybe part of her still wants them to save her.
RUMPLE IS BACK!!! So happy he is awake. I am not happy he isn’t with Belle. I can’t wait to see a magicless Rumple. I really hope the writers don’t continue to screw up his character cause they have chances for some really good character development.
Did Camelot seem like a cult to anyone else? The way Griff (i think that was the servent’s name) intensly said For Camelot and then killed himself seemed very cult-like. I enjoyed it.
Arthur shouldn’t have been able to drive a car but jousting in a ford pick up made me very happy.
Emma “If something has your name on it you should hold on to it” Not the direct quote but I enjoyed that part.
I actually really enjoyed this episode. It pulled at my heartstrings and is starting to move the story along for me. Had some amazing character moments, for David especially.
Disliked:
I think at this point magic has no rules. Whatever the characters need there is some magical item that can move the plot forward.
The scene with Zelena. I mean I get that it’s Robin’s kid but they have Hennry and Roland. I actually sided with Zelena. Regina had her chance at happiness and is being a bit hypocritical by not letting Zelena have hers. Letting Zelena go back to Oz with her baby would get rid of that problem.
Theories:
I really think Arthur brought them back to Storybrooke. Maybe Emma found out about Arthur and used her magic to try and stop it, only to become dark.
I feel like something is going to happen with the Dwarves. I don’t know what, they’ve just been popping up a lot this season.
Is it possible that Emma is tricking the dark one? The dark one practically being a character outside of Rumple has made me question this. Maybe Emma wants to be saved and when she gets excaliber she’ll snuff out the dark instead of the light. Kind of a crazy theory but it’s been at the front of my mind.

I’m really thinking that this episode will be about Baelfire/Neal. Because Lacey is his fake birthplace, right? Makes sense too because all of “Neal’s” main episodes have been with location names.
Where is Lacey and how do you know Lacey is his fake birthplace? 😀
