Woho. Already 35% who are convinced that Nealfire turns out to be true, yay. ๐ Another little thingy Vancity just posted via twitter…
Another Neal + cutlass photography…can't say that I'm tired of seeing more of them. Not at all. ๐
Looking forward to the big Cora & Regina vs. Charmings & Neal combat in episode 16.[adrotate group="5"]cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantLol, I wouldn’t take MRJ’s tweet too literally. He is probably just tired (or making fun of) the whole bashing comments he receives from a lot of Captain Swanner’s, because a few tweets earlier he confessed that he ships SwanThief. He has a great sense of humor. ๐
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant@AntBee I doubt it’s just simply goofing around there…
He's holding the sword as well here. ๐ Gosh, I'm so excited!
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantOMG this cast…I can’t! BUT JMO TOTALLY WON THIS! ๐
These two though… ๐

Well, I can clearly not see why you’d assume that other casting member’s or casting additions weren’t raising the viewer numerary. And also why you’d denote that Hook is displacing them by far, because that’s obviously not the case.
It’s self-evident that he might have conducive a great amount of viewers and I’m really grateful for that only inured to the benefit of the show, but he is NOT the only one who does! Sigh.cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant@Oncewatcher wrote:
Well, you got my point. The viewers are already frustrated and angry over the losses of Graham and August. The audience wants to be entertained, not exasperated. The core of my point is that I believe that if they don’t keep Captain Hook on Once Upon A Time, it will be a big mistake. I’m not sure it’s one they would recover from and again, it all comes back to a question of objectives, goals, desired results, and most especially, what you’re willing to invest into your purposes in order to achieve those results.
I see. And my point is that it’s not only about Hook advancing the ratings, but the other cast additions as well… ๐

The truth hurts, doesn’t it. The show has a choice. They can be introverted, and do what they want for themselves, or they can align their decisions to the pleasure of the people who watch their show / keep them employed. The narcicistsic idea of “art”, and “it’s all about me” looks good, but it’s like a car sitting on a lot without any gas in it. It looks pretty, but if it has no fuel, it’s not going to go anywhere.
The. show. is. not. about. the. writers. It’s not even about the story. It’s about the audience. That’s a key point that has to be drilled into the mindset of ABC, before Once can be truly successful. When that happens, things will improve. Otherwise, status quo.
Once won’t see season 4. It will have been sacrifiiced on an altar of inflated egos.
Now you just shredded one rather ancillary statement of mine, but alright lol…Don’t think I have no clue on how television and marketing works. It was rather a rhetorical question and yes, it hurts that in fact everything is about prestige and money, but whether we moan about that or not doesn’t matter, because it would revise nothing. So, whatever.
But I disagree on the “what is more important” part. It is about the story too, because that’s what first and foremost decoys the audience and adheres the ratings. You have to display something new and captivating, not a usual 0815 plot to develop a good following on the first place. There’s a reciprocal effect between the audience and the plot and the cast…
There are courses that other shows took – not in approval of a massive percentage of the viewership – and they did it anyway. If it ostensibly was about the audience and not the story, why would they kill off Graham on the first hand? He had a HUGE following back then. All those qualities go hand in hand! They are equally important, but don’t displace one another…
Probably that’s only how I determine it’s working and you are obviously having a rather different notion so I’ll stop that here on my part. That discussion is slipping too much into generality anyway.

I know one thing. Based on what I’m reading on twitter from other fans, if Hook doesn’t stay on for good, K&H might be running from pitchforks, axes, clubs, and torches!
Like I said many times – it’s a shame that the writers would have to compromise a good story telling for keeping a character they might no longer need.
Oh, they need him alright. He brought their ratings back up this season. Clearly, he’s well liked. I like the philosophy: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. If they listen to their fans, he’ll stay. Then, they may have a better chance of winning at least, one people’s choice award for season 3. Otherwise, if mediocrity is what they’re aiming for, they’ll hit it every time.
Wow…so you’re basically flatten the capability of the whole Once cast and viability/quality of the show on one single character then? Tsk. Really… ๐ I know that Hook has a large following and likewise doubt he’ll vanish in dust anytime soon, but honestly it’s really bothering to always read that in a very hormic and denunciatory way many fans are trying to push the decisions of the writers in a direction they’d favor the plot to go.
Yes, evaluating the ratings will probably influence the path they have in prospect.
Yes, it could be that in this season Hook was one instance to let it increase. But what about Cora? She, as a new villain, is highly in vogue as well, let’s not forget that. And also what about Mulan? What about Aurora? Or even Neal? Several of those quite well-known actors are entailing whole new branches of viewership.
There have been a couple of new introductions this season and many new additions to follow, which in turn could and will have an incisive impact on the audience. Sorry, but I just can’t comprehend that people are ignoring the general accession just because they’re excessively fixed on one character. And yes, I know that the showrunners these days are all aiming for the great awards and prizes, but is it only all about that oppressiveness…? I agree with EvilQueen that good storytelling is in any case more important than keeping a character on the show under the compulsion of some fanatic fans, tossing him from one derisory plot to the next, just because they have no idea how to integrate him/her into the story they have planned anymore…That’s completely ridiculous.
That said by a fan, who already had to bear with a couple of favorite character deaths and also “dumping” character’s potential by letting them haunt in a story without pressing it ahead. It’s about the overall story and not the individuals. Last are just the pawns in this game. Period.
Apology for my interference…
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantA lot of people have been asking why Emma Swan wasnโt helping her parents at the hole in the ground filming on Monday, and I didnโt know the answer. Well, today I do know the answer. Sheโs not in Storybrooke, sheโs left for New York to find Neal Cassady.
Let that sink… ๐ฎ
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant^ Ironically when it’s all for the purpose of finding him and if Neal is Bae, he has fallen in love with the very product of what he condemned so much. Oh, and good start in the redemption part, Rumple…preventing your son from having senses of guilt. ๐ Wonder what excuses he’ll submit when the topic of “why the curse truly has been created” comes up.
Speaking of Neal again, there is still a chance that he isn’t Bae…but then Jane’s tweet wouldn’t make any sense, because she hinted that Neal probably won’t visit Storybrooke himself. Accordingly it must be Emma who is looking for Bae if she’s finally doing the favor for Rumple – and runs into him…how high are the chances that you inadvertently run into your former lover/father of your child? ๐ Someone at the fanforum posted that after Emma crossed the border she might use Bae’s soccer ball and the retrieving potion that Gold gave David so that he could find Jefferson. I think that makes a lot of sense.
