There is definitely angsty stuff ahead for the Bae/Rumple reunion. And I slightly doubt that it’ll take the same turn as the Regina/Henry relationship immediately after what Bobby said in his last interview. Rumple is still a weak man, who is not willing to give away the only strength he has – magic. Even when he finds Bae and tries to reunite with him, tries to show him that he is intending to redeem for him, that he risked so much for him, Rumple will search for a way to somehow wind around the lost of his powers. The pre-DO Rumple had a slightly different personality structure than pre-evil Regina.
ETA, Exactly because he already opened himself to wrong-Bae (August) and got fooled in “The Return” I seriously doubt that he’ll let himself get near towards any emotional point with another “claimed Bae” that easily.

Especially after his last words before falling into that portal were nothing but filled with tremendous anger against everything his father stood for after he became The Dark One. And of course underlined by the fact that in this essential moment Rumple, again, did back away from overcoming his fear and letting go of the power, believing in his son…That’s when Bae realized that his father is indeed a coward, because in this rather selfish act just for the sake of keeping all powers he’d risk everything, breaking a deal, killing people and even letting go of his family. 🙁cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantIf the writers do it the right way one can get used to it and objection against the idea might diminish in time…or not.
At first I wasn’t excessively fond of the conception that Rumplestiltskin is going to portray the Beast in this story. And now?
Everything is a question on how the writers handle their specific thoughts in making them tasty to the viewers.
On the other hand there is still a chance…nothing is confirmed, so no need to worry yet.
🙂cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantNot sure if I’m allowed to post it here, but this just belongs to this thread.
😮 😮 😮 People! Christmas eve has come sooner than expected!!
Why having a reunion that soon? Why Emma's absence during the latest scenes that were filmed in SB?! Count this and “we have to find someone – my son” promo hints together and…ding ding ding! Neal-freakin'-fire!
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant^ I was a little curious about his absence as well, but now we know. 😉 Obviously he has some serious business to do, or at least to prepare for…
Anyway, thank you again for bringing this over slurpeez. Gladly, I can now write coherently again…after giddily and ecstatically screaming down the whole building. 😆*out*
December 2, 2012 at 11:12 am in reply to: Wow! Huge clue to Neal’s identity on the wall in store??? #163228cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantJane confirmed in one of her tweets, when someone was asking whether he’d be THE “Neal Cassady” with a simple “no”.
Not sure, but I guess the press release accidentally spelled it wrong. 🙁December 2, 2012 at 10:12 am in reply to: Wow! Huge clue to Neal’s identity on the wall in store??? #163220cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantNope, it’s not.
Take a closer look at the tracing paper, he is written “Cassidy” there. No confusion with the real “Neal Cassady” from the Beat generation. They aren’t the same person.cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant^ Oh, okay. I see. 🙂 To each his or her own theory.
But I agree on the beans being a one time use.
cinnamonhummingbirdParticipant1977.
Okay..but how can this be an obstruction to the Neal = Bae theory?
Neal could’ve lied about his birthdate just as he lied about his real name. (I really doubt “Neal Cassidy” to be his actual name, because it would be way too weird and the connection between Neal and “August W. Booth” is quite obvious, and “A.W.B.” is clearly a false name.cinnamonhummingbirdParticipantGreat idea, Lil’Red, creating a little (posterior maybe not so “little” anymore, haha) list about Neal’s character and possible speculations about a second identity and aims?
Anyway, I don’t know about you guys but I’ll definitely make a re-watch of all season 1-2 episodes so far and collect some prospective information regarding Neal. Since Jen stated that she knew from the very beginning, means pilot of the series who Henry’s father would be you could assume the writers left some hints here and there, some of them could’ve remained unnoticed up to now. So, I think it’s worthy to let your eyes gaping wide open and re-watch miscellaneous episodes again and more attentive right through down to the detail.Oh, and btw fellow Swanthiefs, have you seen the following? Melt-worthy…I’d be so disappointed now if we don’t get to see that on the actual show. 😆
