I wrote a poem for Neal. I’m in class, bored, and I thought about writing. I also thought about my father, which puts me in a very lonely place. Here it is, “An Ode to Neal.”
Afflicted by magic,
Yet standing so strong.
A life with elements oh so tragic,
One lived for so very long.A life lived in many places,
Neverland, London, and here.
Though all filled with many faces,
One brought him out of fear.Fire and Swan, a match they were,
A love declared by both.
Split apart through the breaking of a curse,
Yet brought together by the truest oath.Baelfire, Baelfire! A name tragic so,
A sadness for all to feel.
The flame dimming all too sudden, though,

The love story between Emma and Neal was always a flawed one, yet that’s what made it so great. They were both original characters of the show who wanted to live normal lives. They wanted to get away from everything magical (or, to quote Neal, “all this crap”), yet their magic of TL brought them together. Their relationship was messy, a quality of TL (as stated by Will in WL). It makes Neal’s death even more tragic. Neal was trying to be the best father he could be to his son. My own father is a jerk, a fact agreed on by most of my family. Watching Neal, it made me think of a dad who could do his best to try and be the best father for his son. I want my dad to be like Neal, not a reckless, drinking pirate like Hook (no offense to any Hook or CSers. Don’t hate the character, but just basing off what the show has provided). This, after seeing developments in recent episodes, is really just a contrived way of bringing Emma and Hook together. It really is messy storytelling, one that the show isn’t going to be able to get away from.

Okay, this was my third favorite episode this half. Here are my moments:
Favorite:
- The Regina/Zelena scene at the beginning. That was amazing and I’m certain it was written by Jane.
- Every scene involving Snow and Regina. Oh, what amazingness that was.
- Emma’s magic. I’m really liking how it’s growing.
- Regina apologizing to Belle and Belle’s smartness. That was really nice.
- Cora being a tad more sympathetic. Sure, she’s a selfish Mother of All Things Evil and Wicked (yes, I have a title for her), but I can see where it stems from.
- OUTLAW QUEEN. REGINA’S HAPPINESS.
- Oh, and Jane’s writing. Long Live Jane Espenson!
Least Favorite:
- How time travel was said to never come into play then BOOM! Time travel comes into play.
- Rumple’s manipulation. That was disgusting on all levels.

I don’t think so. One its constantly pointed it out its hers. her sister may be crazy but she’s still smart enought to tell the difference, and did u forget about Roland. Even if though he has feelings for Regina i don’t see him giving up his heart so regina doesn’t lose hers at the risk of something bad happening to his and his son losing a second parent. Also thats the bag Regina put her heart in at the end of ep 16.
Robin could’ve explained to Rumple the alternative option and then switch the hearts from the bag.

I believe this is purely speculation. A&E have said numerous times that they would love to bring in Frozen. It’s probably just a slow week for E!.

My first (and probably last, because it’s hard to browse through here, though amazing and emotional) post in this thread. Here it goes.
I’m angry. Not just because they ruthlessly killed off Neal, gave the worst writer on the show the means to execute it, and confirmed SF as True Loves (not to offend CSers, but they didn’t do that for them). But their reasoning for it. Their cruel, freaking stupid reasoning.
TVGuide’s wasn’t bad, but TVLine’s was evil. They said OUTRIGHT THAT THEY WERE FOCUSED ON THE STORY AND NOT THE CHARACTER BY NOT LETTING HIM SEE HENRY. Who, in their (I assume, though don’t believe) sober, non-smoker mind would not focus on the character? Neal deserved so much more, and his father, who spent over 250 years looking for him, gave up his life (and then, because it’s obvious that A&E don’t care about their show’s own rules anymore) only to come back to see his son die. Just die. That is low, even for a network drama. You promote this man as having second chances be his arc. HIS ARC WAS NEVER FULFILLED. WHAT ‘EFFIN SECOND CHANCE?
Neal Cassidy deserved more. He deserved a last kiss with Emma. He deserved to live out his life with his Papa. He deserved to raise his son. See him grow up. Go to college or rule a kingdom. He didn’t deserve to die.
Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz proved that they didn’t care about this character from the beginning of Season Three. The character that was the subject of two of the biggest mysteries of the show (Henry’s father and Baelfire). They brought in an incredible actor for the rule then CRUSHED him under the bus. Damn you, A&E, for ruining a character and four other character’s lives. Emma, Henry, Rumple, and Belle deserved much, much more. They deserved a happy ending.
