ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
I really hope that Emma can string along Sydney. I don’t think so but maybe.
I now pity Regina more than before. Simply put.. Regina is not firing on all cylinders, she’s a few fries short of a happy meal, she’s gone to lunch, the lights are on but nobody’s home, she’s crazy. What I see is that she feels a ten year old girl who only wants for her (Regina) to not live without her mother because her own mother (SW) loved her dearly. And that Regina feels that as contempt because she’s only know pain and suffering from her’s. She feels contempt from a ten year old! She hides a secret for many years, kills the king, kills her horse, kills her father, makes deals with the devil all to ruin the life of a little girl who just wants a mommy. Yep Regina is coo coo for CooCoo Puffs.
Perhaps Snow only thinks that she had something to do with Daniel’s exit. Maybe she doesn’t know that he was killed. It appears that Regina keeps her secret even until after the king’s death (when they embrace). Think about it, Regina keeps her secret for nearly 10 years, right? We have know reason to suspect that SW has found out otherwise. Maybe she only thinks that Regina is upset about Daniel’s departure or that Regina is jealous of the kings love of SW as seen in the Genie episode. Maybe what we have assumed (jealousy.. etc) is actually what SW thinks.
Maybe, and follow the white rabbit here. But maybe, Snow only thinks that she ruined her happiness by having Daniel sent away. Maybe SW doesn’t know that he’s dead, and that she thinks that Regina is trying to kill her for another reason. Like that she is more attractive or “desirable” than Regina and thus why her father seemed to love SW more than her. A bit convoluted or that the writers didn’t think that far.
