That source from Twitter that reported this exact scenario just got much more reliable. Just as a reminder, this is the same one that reported that same day in numerous tweets that there’s a “Wish Hook”.
She was clearly reading from a call sheet as she said that cursed Henry and cursed Rogers go to Roni searching for Henry’s family.
[adrotate group="5"]If Hook’s searching for his mother it’s likely because the character (the mother) has some larger story to play–like perhaps this new Witch figure. So they need to make her prominent by having Hook “feeling”/”sensing” (whatever) her in order to make her story larger. Also, the idea that Hook sensing or looking for his mother should be secondary to sensing or looking for Emma is…well, it’s what has been wrong with OUAT for like 4 yrs now. Do we all remember that this show was founded on parents searching for their children and children searching for their parents?
Doesn’t make sense why the mother is being brought up now though after all these years without a single word. Especially over missing his true love and possibly child.
I mean no there should not be any competition, family is family. I just feel like why isn’t he sensing Emma or his child as well as his mom?

we don’t even know if Hook has a child first off and secondly, he can love his mother just as strongly as he does Emma for all we know. Hook is more than his relationship to Emma. And on top of that, hook and emma have never “sensed” each other before. I think his mother is going to be present in Hyperion somehow
…Yes they have sensed each other before. In the Underworld. They made it very clear in dialogue they could sense each other and feel each other and they were separated.
For Hook it was in 5×13 to Megara and for Emma it was in 5×14 to Milah.

However that makes no sense why he could not sense Emma. They’re true love and they probably have a kid. So why does he not sense them? Was he cursed to purposely forget them completely?
What if the witch that was cast is Hook’s mother, the Emma Blunt character?
Emma and Hook are not true loves and we actually don’t know that Hook is married anymore because the present day scenes are the cursed scenes. The flashbacks are irrelevant. They always have been on this show because this show doesn’t write character. Where the character is at in the present is really all that matters which is why them being cursed is a waste of time.

Oh honey I’m sorry that you’re so bitter but Emma and Hook are indeed true love and has been confirmed on the show multiple times. 🙂

I see Hook’s character potential to be way more than being Emma’s love interest. I am sorry you don’t, but characters should be more than a one trick pony.
Likewise with Rumple.
Well, the thing about Rumpel is that his entire character isn’t based around getting with/back to Belle. He has had other htings to do, so him doing that now is not really an issue for me. Hook doing it, AGAIN, is because its all he ever does. Hook hasn’t had a proper storyline since season 2. Season 3 onwards was just him trying to get with Emma and now that he has her, hes married, and all that, its a nice breather for him to finally be doing something else, outside of her. Which is what I said I wanted from Hook last season. Glad we are getting it this season. Hook finally being something other than “the pirate mascot”. Yay.

You aren’t getting it. What Hook did in the finale is literally what hes been doing for the past few seasons. I want something different. You were literally just complaining about how this season is shaping up to be a bad rehash of previous ones but are now saying you want to see the exact same thing AGAIN from the same character. Sheesh, this fandom.
What you’re not getting is the fact that Hook when he is uncursed will do whatever it takes to get back to Emma. That is at the core of his character. What part of that don’t you get?
“I’d go to the ends of the earth for her or time”. That is his character. That is a core part of his character, once he is uncursed he will do whatever needs to be done so he can be reunited with Emma.
That is him at his core, a fighter and a survivor. Getting back to Emma no matter what is always gonna be the priority to him. He will never give up.
Hook also is way more than Emma’s LI but the love he has for Emma his true love and wife is at the core of his character and the development he has had.
Hate to break it to you dear but once Hook has broken free of the curse he will be doing everything to get back to Emma. Just like Rumple will be doing whatever is necessary to reunite back with Belle and Gideon.
You being okay with one and not the other is straight up hypocrisy. Neither of these characters happy endings is in HH’s PERIOD.
@Michael I’m excited that Hook will (Finally) have a storyline that isn’t him pining after Emma all the time, repeatedly, and that (hopefully) he will actually contribute something to the plot. If Emma were in this season more than an episode, I am sure his storyline would be the same thing as before. But now…it looks like we are going to get some more awesome acting and story from this guy and that’s a good thing. Him being married is irrelevant because they could still have given him some romance centered tripe.
i was more referring to the never say never. Hook should absolutely never get a new LI. He is married to his true love, his happy ending. Let Regina get s new LI she’s single, hook on the other hand should never get one. I’m fine with them focusing on other relationships for him but a new LI should be a never for him , he is a married man, period!
I don’t care if Hook wanted to marry a swine straight off the slop trough. As long as his storyline isn’t focused in any way on romance, I think the story will be a little stronger
And to better state this, what I mean is I don’t care if Hook is searching for love or not searching for love because hes married. I want him to be doing something other than romance involved ship stuff. It ruined his character and Emma as well, so if they branch him out for that, it will make him a stronger character. Hopefully. Hook may be stronger without Emma if all goes well, as I’ve suspected for years.
…You clearly do not understand Hook’s character at all. And once Hook is woken up from the curse you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think getting back to Emma will be his number priority. Likewise with Rumple.

Yes we do in every FB scene he has been in even past 7×02 he very much is still wearing his ring. Cursed Hook is not married.
Cursed Hook feels a sense of loss which is obviously the separation from his true love and wife Emma. How long it takes him to wake up is anyone’s guess but I do truly hope they do not give him any kind of LI while cursed bc it would be absolutely pointless.
