I would imagine this is similar to in the finale. When Emma was cursed she still had flashes, like with Hook and the wedding. I fully expect that will happen with Killian. He’ll have flashes of Emma and his life in SB with maybe their kids, etc.
Same with Rumple and Regina.
I think the enchanted forest thing is a dead giveaway that somehow these three are either the enchanted forest counterparts from the past to save the future of these three are separated from all their family in the premiere and end up on the Enchanted Forest.
Why would characters in the past be in the future? So we have time travel for just these three characters into the future to meet up with a present day Henry in the future?
Henrys Author powers perhaps. He can go back to specific parts of the book.
I think something has clearly happened to separate these three from their loved ones and maybe Henry Lucy and these three team up on the EF to fight the evil and save both realms to return to their families on SB.

Not at the eight pm hour they can’t. It’ll be the same. It does say that an Arthur has to stay to record stories, maybe Henry will travel back to the time when these 3 villains were there and he’ll have a back to the future esque adventure with them.
Epic quest probably gives the excuse as to why these three are without their family and true loves.
Emma’s probably staying behind in SB because with Regina gone she’s the strongest to protect it.

These three are not our characters but are the EF counterparts. Henry can time travel to other places in the book and be able to save history via that route. Recruiting these three.
Because it could be universally panned and they would lose their audience within one episode.
A fresh reboot with a fresh story and a fresh cast on a fresh new day could also revive the entire series. Everything is good about that if it does. Optimistically, I am trying to see this as Once’s last chance to stand triumph despite all its mistakes. Getting rid of the cast is a big, edgy move but who knows how it will all work out. This very well could be the most captivating season of OUAT to grace the screen with the most interesting and shocking character arcs.

I think the first scene of 6×21 was chronologically the final scene of the entire finale. In other words, I think it was a flash forward into the more distant future than was the scene of when Lucy knocked on Henry’s door.
No the scene ended with Lucy reunited with Henry.
Which means Henry is cursed to not remember anything which is why he has no belief. And probably has to do with his wife.
And now because it’s on a Friday night they have to make sure not to tick anyone off so they need to tread carefully. No deaths of characters we love or destruction of happy endings
I think the people who wanted to stop watching have stopped last episode, honestly. The ones who remain I think are the safest bet to watch it all throughout to the bitter end. A lot of people called it quits after the last episode. I think if this is the final season, A&E can and will do whatever they want with no regards to what the fans are requesting anymore. That might be good.

There’s nothing good about that. Anyways based on the PR it sounds like this could potentially not even be our 3 characters, but their EF counterparts.
