I assume if OUAT gets renewed it’s a short final season but with this news of cast leaving what is the point? This “reboot” only lasting 13 episodes is pointless.

I agree. I think that tonight’s AOS ratings are going to be very important. Especially if they turn out to be higher than OUAT’s musical ep, I don’t see how they would renew OUAT over AOS.
Well that’s just hopeless. It won’t be higher than the musical episode, but at least they can have a full cast.
Plus they said AOS ends on a cliffhanger so I could see that being why they keep it and end OUAT. Especially with half the cast leaving.
They said this finale can count as a series finale as well.

She said that’s what she’s agreed too but things can change down the line. I expect she’ll want a break but I don’t think the last we’ll see of Emma ever is the season premiere.
I’m at the point where I’m saying just cancel it. Ratings suck, they’re just gonna get worse. Not even your most promoted episode of the season did well.
Just freaking aire Disney movies in the fall gearing up towards AI’s return in March. OUAT will be done with by March if it gets a S7. Which now confirms a shortened final season cause there’s no way idol is gonna be a show they aire at 9 pm. That’s family 2 hour/hour territory always has been.
I think they’ll just give it a 13 episode final season. JMO and others will amke appearances during it. I hope JMO can manage to come back for the series finale.
I honestly think JMO will return for more than just the premiere should a S7 happen she just needs a bit of a break.
God the ratings are gonna be horrible for this reboot. I can already see it. It won’t get an increase.
If there’s a S7 the one episode JMO is committed too is the season premiere. I think that indicates that either Emma is passing the savior torch to Andrew’s character or they’re gonna pull a TVD on Emma and then S7 will be about the journey to save Emma.

That too, but I don’t see her dying. If the premiere sets up the season talk about a way to turn off your audience within one episode. They could Dobrev her character though and any other.
I think ATM JMO has only agreed to one episode but who knows what can happen when they start filming.

She’ll come back for an episode or 2 in S7. But yeah as a whole it is the end of her story. I imagine next season is a short season. Something happens to Emma and probably Snowing off screen in the premiere, she disappears or something and they spend the whole season trying to find her. Then in the finale they’re all reunited.
BTW TV Line Hotline confirmed Gosh, Emilie and Jared are out of S7 as well.
