@AKA – Thanks for the suggestion to read ScrewBallNinja. I had also given up on her blog, but I think I’ll give her another try. I found her essays about Emma to be especially good. She says that Emma and Hook this season have been continuing with with Dark Swan arc in S6, which I thought was insightful. She has another recent essay about Emma that uses GIFs to show Emma’s progression from heroine to dark swan. Also, here is a link to a GIF set comparing and contrasting Emma’s reactions to people in need of help from S1 to S6. *sigh* What happened to Emma Swan?!
IDK last time I checked people in S1 that needed her help were not trying to kill her. She doesn’t know that Gideon doesn’t have his heart. So maybe cut her some slack over that? Unless you’re telling me that you would be all honky dory with the person that has tried to kill you twice already and didn’t regret it nor even apologize(and no what he says to her does not count, cause then he betrays her). Interesting that you leave that part out, but hey when people have an agenda they just do what they have to do to get their point across even if it means ignoring things that are pretty obvious to anyone that doesn’t have an agenda.
I didn’t have a problem with how she talked to Gideon, I had a problem with her and Snow being insensitive towards Belle, who just like them lost her child. This is not how S1 Emma would have reacted.
Belle has been prattling on for 6 seasons before how Rumple is a changed man and how he is good and look what that has gotten the Charming’s family and even Belle. Sometimes her judgement is not the best one as this season heavily emphasized.
Now Gideon is controlled so he is not in control of his actions however, I don’t at all feel bad about how Emma and Snow reacted. Gideon has tried to kill Emma twice, whom is Snow’s daughter. Any mother would be wanting him taken out. Maybe Emma would be more sympathetic if Gideon did not try already to kill her once and then tries to feed her to a spider the second time. Me personally that would absolutely be the last straw for me, I would never forgive anybody for doing something as horrifying as that.
What you label insensitive, I label as basic human nature in that kind of situation.
[adrotate group="5"]Figured I’d post something in here and see if we can create some balance in the force on these forums. Bc good lord it needs it. Now, who thinks Hook has legitimately changed? And is he worthy of Emma? Is Emma worthy of Hook? Do you think they truly love each other? Are they happy? Has the show conveyed well enough that they are happy? Clearly these two have some lying and trust issues. How do we feel now that these two are officially engaged and Hook got to redo his proposal without Emma interrupting him? Did you ever think Emma would be getting married to Hook when she first met him in the Enchanted Forest? My how far they have come.
In order to create a balance, all the people that were bullied and scared off by all the haters should be asked back as well as apologize so that would never happen.
Plus this forum is so toxic. It’s quite a shame that Daniel spends every podcast talking about coming to the forum and discussing things. Maybe take a gander at your own forum before trying to convince people to post here, maybe there’s a reason why this site is so dead, aside from haters of the show and CS.
Hook has absolutely changed, 100%, and people are so pressed they choose to ignore all the good he’s done and focus on the very small bad. Especially compared to other villains that get tons of chances.
Emma and Hook are both worthy of each other. They will always fight for one another, neither of them will ever abandon the other.
Absolutely they truly love one another. Hence the bitterness after every episode in this forum. I expected it would be around 5×20 levels as it once again confirmed CS to have true love. And several people on here are very much bitter about that being confirmed in the first place.
Absolutely they are happy, just look at those smiles during the re-proposal. Anyone whom says Emma is not happy is just simply a bitter person with an agenda. Hook makes her happy and she makes him as well.
I loved everything about the re-proposal, including the fact that Emma finally got told by Hook that he will always, always stay by her side. Which Emma has never had somebody like that, so it’s very good she has someone like that now.
I thought Emma and Hook were endgame from 2×06 onward, and I was right. And yes that included marriage. Their storyline was crystal clear. Neal represented the past, and Killian the future. Glad I as did many many others read it right.
Side note about people criticizing Emma’s wardrobe in the episode. She was wearing a PETER PAN collar, in an episode where Captain Hook was in Neverland trying to get back to her with the assistance of Tiger Lily another Peter Pan character. If people didn’t get that the reason she wore that had to do with the many references to NVL that’s on them. But people will find any reason to hate on Emma, including her wardrobe she wears now which everyone has said has to do with her walls being down.

Emma is starting to make a habit out of smooching her boyfriend over the casualties of her obsession to be with him. First at Robin’s grave, now whilst Snowing lay in a coma nearby. Does Emma have no respect?
God forbid Emma be happy that she’s reunited with her true love and wants to kiss him after being separated from him.
And it wasn’t near Robin’s grave, it was near Killian’s. Blame the writers that they chose to have Killian and Robin’s grave very close to each other.
And I guess we’re just gonna ignore what the Charming’s wanted Emma to do so…
Just wanted to point out that Screwball Ninja reviewed this episode and agreed with almost everything we are saying. Emma is not Emma anymore and Hook has not had a true redemption arc. It was a great review and very funny as always. I am just pointing this out, because she is known to be extremely fair to Hook and Emma and very analytical to her ship (Rumbelle) so it is not just “this website” that sees CS as a problem right now.
Because one person on Tumblr means anything?
Oh or are you talking about all the bitter SQ shippers online that are gonna boycott the episode.
The funniest thing is none of those people live in the USA so watch or not watch they don’t matter to ABC.
This is the only forum online that is anti CS and that’s why this place is a safe-haven for the CS haters. Hey though somethings we all need our safe place.
So that Writers Strike looks more and more possible each day: WGA Strike Authorization Voting Underway This would not only effect OUAT, but all scripted shows, if the strike happens and isn’t settled fast enough. With Upfronts happening very soon, this would be very bad news for the networks.
I would imagine this would lead to a cut season which IMO should be what they do. OUAT’s ratings couldn’t survive another full 22 episode season.

I suspect there are many reasons why people end up here — for me it’s because there’s a certain level of intellectual discussion about the show in general that keeps my attention more than the habitual breathless squealing in fandoms (of whatever shipping persuasion.)</p>I say all this as I post in the Emma/Neal thread which at this point should be just titled the anti CS/OUAT thread. I’m sure if this was Emma/Neal “oh the story that was intended” cause that doesn’t reek of bitterness, you would be as “critique” as you are cause the story is CS.
Yeah sure blame CS for this seasons ratings when they had the highest rated episode of this season and was barely a blip on the radar compared to Queen Queen shoving her face all over the place.
I’d blame Queen Queen for the ratings this season.
Although I have to say I love the B.I.T.T.E.R in here over the focus on CS. I mean this place is literally the only place online where anti CS fans are located(must be why it’s so dead compared to other places) but aside from that this has been something on the show for 5 seasons.
Yall should have just accepted it in S3, but instead here we are end of S6 and still can’t let it go. And so b.i.t.t.e.r
