Did you guys see the Ask Aussiello thing? He said a lot of the actors contracts are up and it’s not a slam dunk guarantee that OUAT will be renewed for S7. He still has it as a safe bet but sounds like multiple actors contracts are up.
The contract of all the original main actors from season 1 is ending this April. I think A&E will continue as long as abc renews the show even if it means doing it without their lead actress and main cast, hence the idea of rebooting the show in season 7.
They’ll renew some contracts I imagine and others will be let go. JMO is IMO the one they have to get cause she’s the star of the show. I think she’s a lock and probably Colin and Lana as well. Colin is good for another year.
I could see Bobby and Emilie(even if her contract wouldn’t be up) leaving the show and Gosh staying on recurring status or they’ll stay as regulars.

Bex has become so irrelevant on the show. Even more irrelevant than Robin Hood in S5. She’s not doing anything.
Another reason it would make sense to do one now rather than wait for a potential Season 7 is due to the recent speculation that major cast members will be leaving by the end of the Season once their contracts are up.
Interesting. I was sorta doubting Bobby would sing (he seems like he’s against the idea whenever it’s brought up) and he’s the only one I’ve got pegged as leaving for sure. Makes me wonder who else might be jumping ship…. ETA: this might explain why A and E did not write the middle episode of 6B like they normally do, instead just coming up with the story and having someone else pen it.
If they’re wrapping up Bobby I imagine Emilie as well.
And now we have JMO doing another panel with A and E and Colin is being added. Might be jumping the gun but wasn’t it only these two in the cast that RT’d the article about S7? Could these two be major players in whatever they’re planning to do in S7.
If there’s not a Hook/Emma duet what’s the point.
I want definitely Colin singing cause he’s probably the best in the cast.
Josh is great as well.
Lana is meh
JMO is good
Emilie is good
Robert is good
Ginny is great
Bex is good
Lana is the only one of the mains that is very meh at singing.
Bobby I doubt will sing.
If I was to bet money Karen and Deniz would also be involved in this for sure.
Anyways I expect a Hook solo and CS duet for sure.
This definitely is for ratings but it’s also something the fans have wanted cause of how musically talented the cast is. Anyways I definitely think this is an indication that we’re nearing the end. And they won’t have time for a musical episode in S7 because it’ll be half a season which is fine IMO.
Hook is not in SB though. So I imagine Tiger Lily is wherever Hook is. Neverland? Enchanted Forest? Nobody knows.
I imagine Hook is going to be doing whatever it is he’s doing till probably the episode after Tiger Lily leaves. So 19, would be when he could potentially return to SB.
No idea what is going on, could where ever he is be the “epic CS adventure” that they said we’re getting. That would be kind of nasty of A and E. Promise some big adventure for CS and not have them both go on the adventure together.

She said later that she’s still in a few episodes post 15.
Some CS shippers on Tumblr have this really cool theory that much like Gideon is now present in the SL and could be taking the helm of The Dark One. In the finale a portal will open and CS’s daughter will pop out, as the new savior. Going to save her parents.
I think that would be really cool.
We’ve got the Rumbelle baby as The Dark One and CS’s baby as The Savior. The Rumple vs Killian feud continues on to the next generation.
