In Hook’s defense, he is supposed to be a villain and was even promoted as more evil/fearsome than Rumple, people were just focusing too much on the fact that he hit Belle, who yes is innocent, but he’s a villain and he will hit anyone without discrimination. I rest my case πŸ˜†

does anyone else find the way Belle (more specifically the actress) talks is a little annoying?

so I’d been thinking about this for awhile and there really isn’t an appreciative post of Hook when he’s tied up. so I made 3 picspams of the times he’s been tied up on Once. πŸ˜€ just thought I’d share.

lol that’s true πŸ˜† he looked pretty hurt when Emma left him behind

and I agree that Belle is innocent and can’t defend herself, like ever. I actually find her a little annoying, but that’s mostly because of the actress and the way she talks and how she randomly cringes at anything πŸ˜†

Yep, that would make sense. It could possibly destroy Rumple, and then he might probably turn into a big ball of fury and things wouldn’t look very pretty πŸ˜›

Hook doesn’t have any supernatural powers so the only way he would attack people would be with physical force, I don’t think he discriminates against people, he’s a villain and they get rid of people that are of no use to them. It just comes out looking bad to some people because it happens to have been physical and to a woman but still, I don’t think he was thinking “oh she’s a woman, I shouldn’t/should hit her” but more of “this person is no use to me”.
Also Emma knocked out Hook as well, so we’re even : P

What about that guy who hit Snow across the face (S1 ep. 16) and actually made her bleed, and it looked like he too was about to finish her off, and he had no reason to do that to her

    touchΓ© πŸ˜›
But not all pirates steal, and in fairy tale land it’s kind of a characteristic for most of them for them to plunder villages πŸ˜›
Neal however could get a real job in the real world (which he seems to have in the first episode of s2 so that’s good I guess)

^^^^ this. I agree with TheBee and OnceWatcher

I couldn’t put my finger on why I find Hook so interesting (besides his looks πŸ˜‰ ) but TheBee made a good point, Hook is portrayed as a real man figure in the show.Yea we have Charming who fights the bad guys and saves Snow and all that, but he’s still too ‘princey’. and thats why I like snow , because she isn’t exactly ‘princess-y’. Also with Neal I don’t find him manly (at least so far), because stealing for a living equates to not an entirely honest living and really Emma seems to be the only person I know who finds this an appealing attribute for a partner /:

Hook is a great character, and as a lot of other people have mentioned, there is so much potential for his character to expand and many paths that can be taken with him.

I like how one minute you see him be a badass villain alongside Cora, but the next minute he’s being cheeky, and/or helps his opposing side. He’s a character that isn’t set in stone, and will do whatever it takes to get what he needs even if that means switching sides, and I find the show more enjoyable with his humor πŸ˜†

Trying really hard to not be bias, but he isn’t a complete rip off of Jack Sparrow because Jack just happens to be one of the most iconic pirate characters and we are just so used to seeing his personality and such being his, when it really is the typical characteristics of pirates in general. We’re lucky to have Colin play Hook, thus giving him that cute irish accent πŸ˜‰

I don’t think people are intentionally making excuses for Hook just because he is hot. It’s a TV SHOW people, and a fantasy one at that, so as mentioned previously, anything can happen on Tv. And Hook’s character is supposed to be a villain, and what do villains do? They do hurt/kill people from time to time, because it is in their nature to.

I don’t think that it was trying to send a message that says “violence against women is acceptable”, it is simply just part of the plot. Plenty of tv shows present even more violence than what is seen in ouat, but it’s just a tv show, people need to calm down a little πŸ˜›

Best Emma/Hook fan video set to the trailer for “Tangled”- a fun watch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqfKYS-gAFk&feature=player_embedded

oh I love Tangled and that video is amazing! πŸ˜€

and I agree with Maiqu20, I don’t like the idea of Neal and Emma getting back together : not just because I desperately want her to end up with Hook, but it just doesn’t feel right if they were reunited πŸ˜†

and I hope that tweet about hook “has left the building”, was just something people analysed too deeply : I hope it didn’t come with any other meaning πŸ˜› Plus the tweet was from a make up artist.. I like the idea that he’ll be wearing normal clothes, even if that means byebye sexy pirate

I agree that it could be the Blue Fairy, there’s more to her than we know and I hope we find out more about her soon.
As for Jefferson, unlikely seeing as he was trapped in Wonderland so he wouldn’t have known all the details of what happened back in Fairytale land
