I like that theory, it could be possible that it’s Phillip’s heart. We have never underestimated the power of ‘true love’, and that could connect people’s hearts and Cora found a way to manipulate that? It’s an interesting one 🙂
[adrotate group="5"]craxyfoxParticipantI used to hate Mondays but now I absolutely can’t wait for Mondays (because I live in Aus) just to watch Once >.<

And I really like how Henry is giving Regina a chance, that scene was really sweet and I was just hoping he would give her a hug 😥craxyfoxParticipantlol I just like that quote used by Dr Bailey from Grey’s Anatomy, because all the doctors do their best to save people’s lives, and although they may do ‘bad’ things personally, they are still good people. (my bad for going off-show-topic)
I believe August had good intentions, he just didn’t have a strong will to fight bad temptations, which is in his nature as the character Pinocchio. It’s not like he has killed anyone like Rumple and Regina, so he isn’t necessary a bad guy.craxyfoxParticipant@Elle wrote:
I don’t think August was taking order from the Blue Fairy during the time in Tallahassee, though it does seem familiar. She told Dreamy why he could be with Nova, just as how Pinocchio told Neal he couldn’t be with Emma. Both men loved these two women, and both of them were told to give them up for their own good. And both Nova and Emma never got a say in the matter–the descision was made for them. After the incident, Dreamy became Grumpy and Emma hardened.
Back with Pinocchio and the money, he did take it–the expression, the one of voice, the way he looks at the money, his speech about how he cannot say no to temptation, and his scene with Emma in the forest in The Stranger. He has said so before that he was not built that way, not built to say no to temptation. The original tale is similar–Pinocchio lied and gave into temptation. He could not help it.
Thanks for pointing that out! Although August might not have been working for the Blue Fairy at that time, I really like the theory that she is the true puppet master controlling everything 😆
And just because August took the money and did a bad thing, does not mean he’s a bad guy 😛craxyfoxParticipant@AntBee wrote:
Yes, I think it’s definitely poetic justice for August for his part in making Emma into the person that she is now that is weary of trusting and believing people that she wasn’t able to ever believe that he was telling the truth about her destiny. If he had just left things alone instead of interfering, Emma would still have been brought to Storybrooke somehow because it was meant to be like no matter how hard Oedipus avoided trying to sleep with his mother or killing his father, but instead of being a cynical, world weary Emma, she’d more likely be in a position where she had Neal and Henry who could help her believe and accept her destiny much sooner and probably restored everyone’s memories a lot sooner, imo, and August wouldn’t have turned back into a puppet.
That could be a logical argument, that Emma may have been brought to Storybrook somehow if it was destined to happen. However, it could be more likely that everything August did was actually part of Emma’s destined path, that Henry had to be given up and thus ended up with Regina. After looking into theories of the Blue Fairy, I have come to believe that she may be the true puppet master 😆

erm. Yes, he did ruin her life. He separated her from the man she loved and who loved her. He put her in jail, even though she wasn’t guilty. They were having a baby and because of the difficult circumstances she gave it away. If that’s not ruining someone’s life then I don’t know what is.
And it was stated pretty clear that they didn’t want to continue stealing. That watch job was their ticket to a new life and hadn’t August interfered, they would’ve gone to Tallahassee and start a completely new stealing-free life – the fact that they were having a baby, would’ve definitely made sure they started thinking about doing the right things.Yes well you see Neal didn’t exactly seem like a great guy to begin with (stealing things and that), and it can’t be known whether they would have stopped stealing and settled down and have the perfect sappy life,we can only speculate and there’s no proof if her life would have truly been better. But maybe her life would have settled down, either way it was not part of her destiny. And in the episode she looked pretty shocked when she found out she was pregnant so that wasn’t planned from the looks of it.And she was guilty, I don’t know much about law in the US,but being an accessory to a crime is usually a legal offense, and in her case she was in jail for only less than a year.
She still ends up knowing her son,and finding out who are parents are (yay?!) and have a line of guys next to her.Going to jail and becoming more self guarded was some of the prices that had to be paid,I don’t think ouat would be too amazingly interesting if the story started off with her and Neal living in tallahassee and the end /: August just had to take the hit in order for this show to be interestingly addictive I guesscraxyfoxParticipantYea I completely get that now, how he just disappeared after he said he finally found Emma, and then wasn’t there for her after, that is the annoying thing I don’t like about him. It’s just a little more annoying when people only hate him for taking the money and/or breaking apart Neal and Emma
ps. I absolutely love that gif as your sig! I will go down with this ship 😆
craxyfoxParticipantI would like to have Hook in my life. Just to look at
craxyfoxParticipantcan I just point out that August did not “ruin” Emma’s life. Her life was spiraling down the toilet and being sent to jail changed her and ultimately led her to Storybrook. August was just doing his job in ensuring she doesn’t stray away from her path, and if she had continued to steal for a living with someone who only encouraged this poor life choice, Emma could possibly have never gone to Storybrook.
It doesn’t matter if August took the money to self-indulge in Phuket, he admitted it himself that he was weak with temptations, bad August. But you can’t hate him for making sure she didn’t run off with some thief.
Some people are too butthurt over the fact that he took the money and spent it all, even though he told Neal himself that Emma won’t have a need for any of the money.Everyone needs to look at the bigger picture here. Which is, Emma breaking the curse! If she had stayed with that riffraff Neal (a little bias here), OUAT would not have happened.
