@KalliopeKisees : That symbol is written in Tengwar, right?
Hm… I’ll have to go back & meticulously watch the episode but I’m pretty sure there is only one.
[adrotate group="5"]cruel_fortunaParticipant@Kalliope ;;
When you say the ‘one ring symbol’ are you referring to the Elvish markings on the ring that have been translated from Black Speech ( the language of Mordor) ? I’m not quite sure what you mean by that statement.cruel_fortunaParticipantI think it would be ironic & cute if it was indeed a kiss that woke him up / returned his soul to him.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI thought it was a pigeon however, if you want to call it a dove, I’ll agree with you for that sake.
I’ll also tell you that doves are synonymous with ‘peace’ & ‘hope’.cruel_fortunaParticipantIf we’re going to be dealing with souls, it might be a good tie-in with either Hades or Ursula.
That being said, I don’t think Phillip is dead. His soul is merely trapped in the medallion therein, instigating/assuring that he will remain asleep ( much like Aurora was ) until his soul can be returned to him. That also means someone needs to find a way to release his soul & you have to wonder if each wraith has their own medallion or if that one medallion contains many other souls.
cruel_fortunaParticipantThank you for this topic, it really made me laugh.
Although, I’m sure you’re quite serious but it’s always interesting to see what other people latch-onto in terms of celebs or characters.Perhaps you should expand your quest & start watching Stargate: Universe, I’m sure Carlyle’s character ( Rush ) probably reads or at least glances at a book without burning it. …although, … I think SGU has plasma-guns, … so he might just shoot up some books Old-West style.
Anyways good luck with your vendetta, … er that is … quest.
cruel_fortunaParticipantIt’s great to see this finally confirmed.
But that also means having to suffer though the long Summer hiatus.
I wish they’d included a start-back date in this renewal news but apparently ABC likes the idea of ‘delayed gratification’.cruel_fortunaParticipantI’ve already seen it twice.
Once at the midnight premiere & a second time this afternoon, I literally just got back from seeing it again.Mia is right, it’s very funny.
Especially all of Tony Stark’s lines but of course – you knew that because well, Tony is hilarious. In terms of the funniest bit though, it would have to be when Hulk decides to Hulk Smash Loki after Loki said something along the lines of “I'm a GOD You DAFT creature & I won't be bullied …” but he's cut off because Hulk proceeds to smash him into the ground. His expression afterwards is priceless. But my fav. part has to be near the beginning when Thor confronts Tony & Steve asks them what's going on & Tony just quips – “Shakespeare in the Park? Doth mother know, you weareth her drapes?” … that bit makes me laugh way too much.
To all who are going to see it this weekend, enjoy it. I’m sure you’ll love it.
cruel_fortunaParticipantIt came out back at the tail-end of March didn’t it? I’m not sure how long it’s run will last in theaters what with the Summer Blockbuster season edging ever closer but I’ll add it to the list none the less. By that same turn, I’ll also add Snow White & the Huntsmen; which is set to release on June 1st.
I do too. Only three episodes in & it’s just so amazing. I highly suggest Legend of Korra as well as it’s predecessor series, Avatar: The Last Airbender as a hiatus watch to anyone who is looking for well developed stories. The original series originally aired on Nickelodeon and had a pretty devoted following. Although, if anyone is considering watching it. I feel like you should probably research Asian culture a bit before you go in because the premise of both shows draws heavily upon Buddhist ideas; reincarnation in particular.
But I’m getting off topic. Thanks for the suggestions Lissy.
If you want to talk to me about Korra, there should be a thread in this forum about it that Mia made about a week or so ago. Just post there & I’ll be sure to get back to you ASAP or you can pretty much always reach me on Twitter.cruel_fortunaParticipantThat’s awesome!
I’ll add Willow; I’ve seen that a time or two but I can never really get behind it, it’s just sort of ‘eh’ for me but I’m sure other people might really like it. As far as Tangled, I purposefully left most of the Disney Princess movies off this list because as far as I’m concerned, they’re already ‘must-see’ viewing. But I’ll add ‘Tangled’ just for you.
Brilliant!
( I’ll probably use the hiatus to re-watch all my period drama shows/movies but that’s not relevant to these forums, so I’m keeping that list to myself. )
