Chances are that since ABC knows the show is such a hit, they decided to go ahead & start filming so they could have the next batch of episodes up by around Halloween or early November, along the same time-frame as the first season.
My only problem with this schedule is that if it turns out to be true, then season 2 won’t be a straight-through run. We’ll have to deal with random hiatus breaks just like this season. I’d be willing to wait for a January 2013 return to air date if it meant getting say a 22-24 episode season with no hiatuses & a straight through run from beginning to end.
Maybe that’s wishful thinking, only time will tell in regards to all this.

cruel_fortunaParticipantFollowing the idea of unforeseen circumstances or hurdles, it should be the trio’s ( August, Emma, Henry ) utmost concern to be able to work against the curse covertly. Emma has a bad problem with being to blunt with her judgement ( & she fails miserably in terms of being sneaky. ) I’d leave all the information gathering up to Henry & August. Because if worse comes to worse, no one wants to see Rumpelstiltskin fighting alongside Regina.
There’s also the fact that Regina has people like Sydney in her pocket; people who have proven useful already.
I think the first thing they would need to do is find out how large Regina’s network is & how far her influence reaches.
cruel_fortunaParticipant“Open your eyes, look around, wake up. Isn’t it about time?” ( Jefferson )
“A real world. How arrogant are you to think yours is the only one? There are infinite more, you have to open your mind. They touch one another, pressing up in a long line of lands. Each just as real as the last. All have their own rules. Some have magic, some don’t. And some need magic. Like this one.” ( Jefferson )
“Every story needs a memorable detail.” ( Rumpelstiltskin )
“That one was a quip, not serious.” ( Rumpelstiltskin )
cruel_fortunaParticipant@Phee: It was awesome until I woke up & realized I had to drag my butt out of bed & drive up to my college. Ugh.
For some reason, when I re-watch the LoTR trilogy, I always dream about Eowyn & Faramir, Boromir is there too because, come on, he’d be so ridiculously proud of his little bro & I’m still in denial about his death.
@romantic: I have dreams like that all the time, only they aren’t dreams. I tend to tune out when my Brit. Lit teacher goes off and tangents – so I take power naps with my eyes open. I’m always confused if I suddenly become conscious again because generally these wide-awake naps involve a lot of conversation with Benedict Cumberbatch & the accidental saying of ‘not my division’ out loud when I thought I was sleeping ( dreaming ). Although, I’m proud to say, at least two people got the reference when I accidentally blurted that out.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI haven’t had any purely Once-related dreams, for some reason the characters always show up in my dreams with other character from different film & tv shows.
In particular though, I had a weird dream concerning Tangled, only it didn’t follow the whole ‘magic flower – healing hair’ plot the Disney movie outlined, it followed the original outline. For some reason, Jefferson was hanging out in the tower with Gothel & they were talking about some nondescript stuff when Loki ( he’s from the marvel movie Thor, that I’ve been re-watching a lot lately, I think that’s why he showed up ) suddenly materialized out of nowhere.
It turned into sort of misunderstood villain support group ( why Jefferson was there, I don’t know )
Flynn & Rapunzel ended up coming back some time later & Rapunzel was obviously pregnant, so Gothel got mad & pushed Flynn out the window ( pretty much the same way Gothel dies in ‘Tangled’ ) but somehow Flynn falls into Jefferson’s hat & when everyone goes to the window to see what they think will be his mangled body – they see nothing.
The dream ended with Loki smirking and saying in unison with Jefferson, “Magic”.
It was a weird, out of order dream. Sufficed to say, for some reason there’s always a lot of people ‘disappearing’ in my dreams.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI finally found the temple I was looking for in Nepal that has monkeys!
It’s in Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu , Nepal & it’s known by the locals as quite literally ‘the monkey temple’.
It’s actually a rather well known temple because if you climb to the top of the temple ( 300+ steps ) the prayer at this temple is worth 13 billion times the amount of prayers that are prayed at other temples ( this is based on the Buddhist belief that when you turn a prayer wheel, it sends the prayer around the world).

names’ meanings are:
August: “lordly” or “venerated.”Wayne: “wagon / cart builder or driver”. I also think of the word WANE: to decrease in strength, intensity 2. to decline in power, importance, prosperity,
Booth: Herald / From the Market Stall / typical dwelling place of a cowherd or shepherd / Herdsman
Your post made me think of another ‘wayward son’ who we haven’t seen since around ep.6 ( ‘The Shepard’ ). James/Shepard!Charming’s twin brother! Thinking on it, it never said if he was an identical or a fraternal twin. The name meaning you gave for August, also made me think, hm.. you know, Shepard!Charming’s twin was lordly, seeing as he was made a prince because Rumpelstiltskin procured him for King George, since he & his wife couldn’t have a child.
It’s too bad he died in FTL which pretty much means, he won’t be showing up in SB. I think it would have fit nicely with August’s shadowy past, ah well.
On to my other note.
I found some other name meanings for August which might be of use in furthering the August is Baelfire theory. This note is more of an addendum to the whole etymology of Beltane & Bael & what have you.But it’s interesting to note that Jacob Grimm was interested in the lingua & etymology of the pagan festival of Ostra ( which eventually Christians adapted – & became Easter.) In his research, he found a link to an old Norse text; Gylfaginning – which referenced a male called Austri; which Grimm describes that character as a “spirit of light” which harkens back to the harvest fire & general use of fires in the Beltane festival – which relate to Baelfire.
So “spirit of light” would be a nice contrast to Rumple’s “Dark one.”
All in all – all the theories regarding August are very well researched and thought-out, I just want to know who August is so that I can start with the gloating; just kidding.
cruel_fortunaParticipantIt’s been awhile since I saw ‘The Tenth Kingdom’ but I do remember enjoying it.
But then again, my preferences were probably aided by the fact that I’d recently become enamored with Lord of the Rings; which means I didn’t watch the series until around 2001.If you liked ‘The Tenth Kingdom’ chances are – you’d like the 80s movies that the series tends to like to draw slight inspiration from; in particular I’m thinking of Labyrinth , Willow & The Neverending Story.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI could see door nine possibly leading to Camelot.
In fact, door #9 reminds me of the doors that lead into Minas Tirith.Plus, if we ascribe to the idea of time flowing at different rates, either of those doors could instead lead to Avalon – where based on legend, Arthur is said to wait until the time of England’s greatest need.
