I can understand why Regina would be upset but really, knowing her mother, why does she choose to place the full brunt of the blame on Snow? It’s rather unfair, seeing as Cora manipulated Snow, using her, as well as her father’s love of her own mother. Cora made it seem as though she truly loved & cared for her own daughter in that way & so it’s really not Snow’s fault.
If anything, Regina should be mad at the person who gave/taught her mother magic, seeing as she always used that as a tool to her own means.
Long story short – sorry Regina but I just don’t feel for your plight & I think the whole reason behind your revenge is petty at best.
[adrotate group="5"]cruel_fortunaParticipantThat would be helpful, for sure.
Though now we play the waiting game to see if our theories in regards to magic-users & their correlation to hearts rings true.cruel_fortunaParticipant
@Dorothy : Perhaps it leads to Bill Murray’s house.cruel_fortunaParticipant@clockwatcher:
If one door does indeed lead to say Oz or Narnia, I’m pretty sure that would confirm the alternative reality theory. Because, whether it be a dream ( like Oz was ) or truly another world, time passes at a different rate in those worlds. In fact, in Narnia you can be gone months & in the ‘real world’ – only have been gone around a few moments or days tops.So I think it’s a possibility that the character’s could be in both worlds at the same time, since time is subjective & really it’s only a construct that humanity has invented; which is the case whether the world is the ‘real world’ or not.
I think a huge ulterior motive for Rumple if this turns out to even be plausible would be to either find Baelfire after he became the Dark one. Or perhaps go a step further & fix his ‘cowardly’ actions in reference to the first Ogre Wars.
Either way, this is all just speculation for fun. But I for one would think it would make an interesting plot point if either Regina or Rumple could go back & change the thing that made them ‘evil’ – just to see how differently things might play out.
cruel_fortunaParticipant@pale: In response to your speculation, I”ll just quote my idea from another thread, which basically affirms your speculation & is my way of saying, “Plausible & I agree.” c :
. . . I think a different world thereby means you’re in a different dimension but there are entities & worlds that can exist in a void. This kind of runs parallel to a pop culture theory of human instrumentality, whereby the collective consciousness of all humans in the universe, are melded into a single entity, a hive mentality. In effect, the hat might be it’s own world, acting as a sort of limbo for anyone who enters.
( you can find the whole quote in this thread. )
cruel_fortunaParticipantfrom Disney:
1) the Fates
2) Cheshire Cat ( from Alice in Wonderland )
3) Kida ( from Atlantis: The Lost Empire )
4) Ursula ( from the Little Mermaid )
5) Flora, Fauna & Merryweather ( the fairies from ‘Sleeping Beauty’. )from Mythology/Folklore/Fairy-tales:
1) Rose Red
2) Miss Muffet ( from Mother Goose Tales )
3) Jack & Jill ( from Mother Goose Tales )
4) Baba Yaga ( from Russian fairy tales )
5) Tam Lin ( Scottish folklore ballad )cruel_fortunaParticipantTo add to the list that sjm just mentioned- I just thought of another ‘world’ that they could use.
‘Hundred Acre Woods’ from Winnie the Pooh. ( long shot but hey – you never know ).cruel_fortunaParticipantYou should be disinclined to believe malchore on the August issue, there is sound evidence that suggests he really is Pinnoccio. Therein, you should side with us, as Spock would say, “it’s only logical.”
Oh – & welcome.
Enjoy your stay dearie.
c :cruel_fortunaParticipantIt’s peculiar, upon re-watching the episode for the umpteenth time, I realized that Jefferson’s hat basically correlates to the Doctor’s TARDIS; Time and Relative Dimensions in Space ( referencing Doctor Who, sorry if you don’t watch ).
I only draw this parallel because while I do believe that each door leads to another world, I hadn’t considered different planes of existence. To clarify, I think a different world thereby means you’re in a different dimension but there are entities & worlds that can exist in a void. This kind of runs parallel to a pop culture theory of human instrumentality, whereby the collective consciousness of all humans in the universe, are melded into a single entity, a hive mentality. In effect, the hat might be it’s own world, acting as a sort of limbo for anyone who enters.
I don’t know, I just think they truly have boundless possibilities in regards to these doors.
Plus I think it would be interesting if they do another Alice in Wonderland episode if they choose to further explore the idea of ‘dream worlds’. But I’ve rambled long enough & probably derailed this whole topic.
My apologies if this is inconsequential, carry on.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI’m most curious about the line of work he was in that caused him to lose his wife.
Part of me thinks that before he came to Wonderland & became the Mad Hatter, he fist procured the hat (which someone, I believe not Jefferson imbued with magic ) & met Grace’s mother.
I’d be really interested in knowing his back-story in regards to his wife & I’d like to know if Regina ever met her. -
