Oh, what a fun idea.
I’d like to be the official keeper of the well in SB that August took Emma to.
I’d also like to lay my claim to all the wells in FTL, if that’s acceptable.I would henceforth like to be referred to as, the well-wisher. Lol – pun.
I jest.[adrotate group="5"]cruel_fortunaParticipant@slurpeez108: Thanks for posting the screenshot, it’s a great help in this discussion. c :
Out of curiosity, do you have screen shots for thee doors on either side of the Looking Glass ( the Oz door & the other door in particular )?@Nonnie: Paul Bunyan was the guy who had the blue ox, right?
In regards to the dvds, they’ve only got the first four episodes out right now, as far as I can tell.
The season boxset isn’t available until later this Fall.
So the hype would probably have to be rekindled thanks to summer re-runs.
Either way – I’m wishing on that star right along with you.@sjm: If you run across the links where you read that – I’d be interested to read those ‘teasers’.
& do you think one of the doors might lead under the sea?
I’m most curious about the door that appears to be bricked over & the brilliant blue one.
Although – if you look closely, the one door next to the brick door that slurpeez screen-capped appears to have two seashell patterns ( now that I look again. )
cruel_fortunaParticipant@sjm: That’s correct. When Jefferson opens the door, the neighbor’s are standing next to the well & Grace goes over to meet them, so yes – it’s outside Jefferson’s house in FTL.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI noticed a teapot in the foreground in the last scene where Jefferson truly becomes the ‘Mad’ Hatter. I wonder if this is the teapot that the door-mouse resided in & if so, does anyone know if it’s the same teapot he uses to serve Emma tea with in SB?
cruel_fortunaParticipantI think that if a hat can be a portal to a room of doors which leads to other worlds then all these wells probably have that same sort of connotation.
To me, the wells are a different form of travel between the worlds.
It makes sense to a degree, based on how quickly Thomas disappeared in ‘Price of Gold’.
However, part of me thinks these wells just might be interconnected among the realms of FTL. Kind of a`la the pipeworks in Super Mario. You go in at point A & show up at Point B or something along those lines. It would be a rather useful mode of transport, nice & stealthy.cruel_fortunaParticipantIt’s a fun tie-in to be sure that the caterpillar’s line’s echo that of the song, however those lines are taken straight from the Disney version.
The caterpillar asks who Alice is to which she responds, something along the lines of she doesn’t quite know, she’s changed so many times since breakfast. In reference to being 10 feet tall & she then inadvertently insults the caterpillar about his height – saying it’s wretched to be so small. To which the caterpillar says it is a perfectly good height indeed – then Alice gets huffy & says she’s not used to it.
& speaking of the caterpillar, … I wonder why he wasn’t on his mushroom when they left Wonderland. …I’m guessing it’s because he’d gone ahead & turned into a butterfly like in the movie.
cruel_fortunaParticipantFavorite: MM smacking Jefferson with that croquet mallet.
Gold referring to Regina as “Your Majesty”
The Mock Turtle & the White Rabbit showing up in FTL ( although as stuffed animals )Least Favorite: No August or Rumplestiltskin.
cruel_fortunaParticipant@sjm ;; Alias told me in the chat that apparently the new show ‘Touch’ uses a lot of this fibonacci stuff to explain fate & the future. Although, I won’t presume to put words in her mouth, I’m just recalling what I read in the chat.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI’m going to come out of left-field & say that from FTL – it’ll be Prince Thomas ( last time we saw him he’d disappeared at the well, after Cinderella had ‘tricked’ Rumple. )
& in SB – August ( Pinocchio ) – & I think it will relate back to when Emma was found by the side of the road.
Either way – the return to me, means something along of the lines of families being reunited.
cruel_fortunaParticipantI’m pretty sure that Picture B) is The Juniper Tree ; http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/grimm047.html
