With this in mind, I don’t think it’s in everybody’s best interest to pressure Daniel when to “schedule” this outage since there is so much at stake on the server/website. So Daniel, schedule this when it is best for you. As eager as I am to access the forums to keep up with the all the news, updates and speculation, I can wait.
I appreciate that, but I do now agree with everyone that mid-June is the best time to start. I’ve had this switch planned since November, but wanted to wait until the least disruptive time to do it.

Roughly how long do you think it’ll take Daniel? A day or two? Or a bit longer (Iike a week)?
Like Demileto said, it really depends on the success of the transfer. But I have a testing server where I’m trying to work out the kinks before I do the real thing.
The actual data transfer will take a day, but what price comes with that magic? User accounts could be messed up, threads may end up with bad code in them, links may break, kingdoms may fall.
The biggest issue I’m still facing is getting the simple logins working on the kind of site I’m running.
So this process could take a day or two, or it could take a couple weeks. I may also make the switch and then ask for everyone to help test it and be patient while I fix the major problems within a couple weeks.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterCan you link to what you’re referring to. I typically stay out of the spoilers areas.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterEveryone raised great points. Thank you for the feedback.
June–July it is. I’ll plan to start the work around June 17.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterAre you all thinking that late June would be much better than July? This would probably take me a week or two to make the transfer.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterJune or July, but June seems too close.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterSticky’d!
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI often quoted Mr. Gold’s line to August about crossing time and space. That was a major reason for my belief that Bae never went to Neverland.
But now I’m thinking that Neverland time moves faster, even though people don’t age. And Peter is simply either a seer or has access to one.
But it’s still fun to consider the possibility of a world completely outside of time.
Daniel J. LewisKeymaster(I’m jumping in late.)
Keep in mind that Rumple’s being 300 years old was something said outside of the show. Even the press release for this episode said Bae went to 19th century England. That’s the 1800s, so it could be 113–213 years ago.
I now think that time between Enchanted Forest and our world is entirely parallel. (I’ll post separately about time and Neverland.)
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterThanks for the suggestion. The order may not seem logical because I’m trying to keep the popular stuff near the top.
