Daniel, the key is to think of the most obvious thing they can do.. think “No! They wouldn’t do that!” and then wait in surprise when they do the most obvious thing they can do. Like HER being Tamara, etc.
Exactly! And that’s where the other podcasts often find great strengths. The have different expectations or a different perspective, so they’re see connections that we don’t.

Will you guys be doing a podcast for Wonderland? From what I understand, it’s a shorter order than ONCE but if it plays during the winter hiatus of ONCE, it might be nice to hear your thoughts!
Yes. I’ve reserved some .com domains we can use. I’m debating whether to launch a spinoff podcast, too, or just mix in the Wonderland stuff with ONCE podcast.
I’ll probably keep everything here at ONCE podcast but have separate feeds in iTunes.
This will especially be practical because we don’t know how canon the Wonderland spinoff will be.
May 11, 2013 at 3:02 pm in reply to: Anyone else get super annoyed listening to other podcasts? #193188Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI also listen to every OUAT-focused podcast out there, but I think that ONCE podcast is the best.
Oh wait. 😎
Thank you for the support, everyone! We work hard to make ONCE podcast the best it can be, and there are certain, super-secret guidelines we follow. (We even have a secret handshake, but we don’t do it often because it always comes with a price.)
This conversation is also slightly ironic. Slurpeez108 and I work hard to pick the best feedback for the podcast—stuff that’s plausible and well-presented (and I know the appropriate use of “theory”). But remember how negative I was to Baelfire’s either being Peter Pan or even simply going to Neverland? Or how much I said that “Her” and “Tamara” were both probably nobodies? Yeah, I was definitely wrong there, and that’s why I felt I had to make up for it with my own torture. 😳
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterOne of my listeners to The Audacity to Podcast has a podcast primarily about Arrrow, but it’s also about other stuff. However, the producer will be splitting his podcast soon so there will be one focused on just Arrow and one on his other stuff.
Currently, this is called French Press Podcast (also in iTunes).
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterWelcome! Where on the palm are you from?

New deal, Daniel! You have to drink coffee no matter what just for our entertainment!
You’re evil. 🙂
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterIf you listen to every OUAT podcast ASAP after they publish, then a great job for you could be writing a weekly summary of the stand-out points from each separate podcast.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterOur biggest area of need is more writing on the blog. If you’re a good writer and are quick and thorough about OUAT news, then I would be happy to get your help!
We use WordPress on the site, so an ideal writer should be familiar with WordPress (links, pictures, formatting, tags, excerpts, etc.), good SEO practices, and great speed.
I also really need people who can share our podcast episodes and important blog posts in specific social network groups (like certain Facebook pages, Subreddits, etc). These people should be great at writing short, compelling titles/tweets.
And I need to get our timeline updated, too! This is controversial, but needs another hand to keep it up.
Daniel J. LewisKeymaster“That too.” HA HA!
In this case, the videos, I assume from YouTube, would not cost us money or bandwidth because YouTube would be the host. But it’s a technology limitation right now.
I’m planning to change forum software this summer to something else that will be more flexible, integrated with the rest of the site, and extensible to do stuff like automatically embed YouTube links.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterImportant update
Vancity Filming has kindly granted us permission to embed one photo per set as long as we clearly attribute the photo, do not edit it, and link back to their website post that had the photo.
We’re grateful for Vancity Filming’s generosity.
