I’m so glad that Belle is finally returning. We haven’t seen her in months. The show introduced her as such an integral part of Rumpel’s story, and then POOF. She was gone! But of course, the writers only did that so that her eventual return would have an even greater impact on the story. I also like the theory of Belle helping Emma to believe. It would be very interesting to see.
Ah! That’s an interesting idea. But wouldn’t it appear to Emma as just another pyshco trying to convince her to believe in fairytales? ๐
And yes, Belle’s return will be great. The longer the wait, the greater the pay off. ๐

KeymasterI think Baelfire’s story will be revealed to very important. Baelfire is the catalyst for the curse. He’s the reason why it exists. And the way the show left off on his story was very deliberate. It was very “to be continued…” And like Midnight Dreary said, the writers have already confirmed that we’ll see plenty of Baelfire in season 2.
I also like the Oz and Henry’s father theories. I keep going back and forth on which one I like the most. Right now, I’m leaning on Oz. But I’d take either theory. ๐

http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/05/once-upon-time-episode-121-apple-red-as_2463.htmlThis is so interesting. So Regina probably gets the hat from Gold since he had it. And he is saying in the promos all magic comes with a price in the real world probably to Regina. Where did she get a bit of magic though?
Well, if she got the hat from Mr. Gold and Mr. Gold is seen telling her that all magic comes with a price, then I’m assuming that she got her little bit of magic from him. She probably made a trade of some sort. He gives her the hat and a little magic, and she in return gives him…I don’t know. Something.
I wonder how Mr. Gold came across magic in Storybrooke? Did he pluck a strand of Emma’s hair? I’m going to laugh so hard if that’s the favor he asks of her. ๐ After all this time…hair! But like in “Heart of Darkness” we’ve seen the power that 2 little strands of hair can hold.
And I could have sworn that Jefferson went through the magic hat. Maybe he’s lying to Regina.

KeymasterGreat clip! ๐
Whatever Jefferson’s role in this episode will be, I think it will have something to do with Belle. There’s speculation that Jefferson will break Belle out of the asylum towards the very end of the episode. I hope so. That would be pretty epic. :ugeek:

KeymasterThe wait for his soundtrack is killing me!
I’ve been a big fan of Mark Isham’s work for quite a while, but was never so eager as now with his work on Once Upon a Time.

KeymasterWow! Thank you so much for posting those! I’ll be heaven for the next few days now. ๐
I also agree that Belle and Rumpel’s romance was very genuine and heartfelt. I didn’t truly realize just how much Rumpel loved Belle until the scene with Moe French and the scene where Regina return the chipped cup to Mr. Gold. Before this episode, I didn’t really expect anything substantial to come from OUAT’s version of Beauty and the Beast. It just looked like another episode of how Rumpel dooped another poor girl. ๐ But after the episode finished, I was grateful for the episode. The writers turned a potential disatser into a masterpiece. It was so beautifully done. I still think Skin Deep stands as the season’s greatest episode.

KeymasterThis is great! We need a relationship thread or two in here. ๐
Personally, I really like the romance between Belle and Rumpel. I think it’s very tragic and romantic. I also love how the writers made Belle such an integral part of Rumpel life. Before Skin Deep aired, the possibility of Rumpel being in love would had never crossed my mind. Great job on the part of the writers.

It should definately nab one of the creative arts awards for costuming alone. But I’m with you that I don’t think they’ll really get any nominations for acting. Although with each actor, except Emma and Henry, all playing essentially double roles, it really should be a shoe in. Too bad like you mentioned, Onescape, they don’t like genre shows too much.
Yeah, fantasy is generally frowned upon at the Emmys. Even Game of Thrones has a hard time getting recognized there. GAME OF FREAKING THRONES!!! ๐ฎ

I thought this is usually about where their best chances are for picking between supporting/lead. Rather than whether you truly believe the person is lead or supporting. Though actually if there are any leading men on Once, I think Robert Carlyle is really it. He’s the most fleshed out male character on the show.
I’m hoping someone will put up the list of what episodes were submitted by each person.
Still, if there are ANY acting nominations I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I love the show but it’s a genre show and Emmy voters don’t like those. Though I think that with all the green-screening that Once should definitely be up for a Creative Arts/Technical Emmy of some kind.
That’s true. At first glance, I would have said that David is the male lead, but he hasn’t recieved any real character development as of late. So far, Rumpel is the most fleshed out male characetr on the show.
