Hi, Lindsey! We’re glad to have you with us. Have you caught any of our live podcasts yet? If you look closely at the video, you’ll see that all four of us use MacBook Pros, and I have a Time Capsule and Mac Mini in the background, Jeremy has an iPhone 4s, and Dan and I both have new iPads.
โฆ and when you’re not looking, Jenny is playing Draw Something with my iPad. ๐
[adrotate group="5"]Daniel J. LewisKeymasterWe’re glad to have you with us, OnceUponADiva! I fear what our withdrawal symptoms will be like over summer.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterGreat to have you here, EternalแฆFlame! Nice job on the special character in your name. ๐
Did you get to see all of the previous episodes leading up to “Skin Deep” (the Belle and Rumplestiltskin episode)?
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterWelcome, Nar Nar! We’re eager to start hearing your theories, too!

Yes, it’ll be available tomorrow morning. I’ll update as soon as I get that link.

It seems both August and Gold do have a common goal and that is for Emma to believe. August seems indebted to Gold because the fear of death makes people desperate and Gold does have a knack for identifying a desperate soul.
Good point. August’s goal is quite clear. He needs Emma’s magic to heal him. But Mr. Gold…not so much. I can only speculate that he wants the curse to broken so he can leave Storybrooke look for his son.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterSuch a great episode! ๐
Favorite Moments:
-Pinocchio leaving baby Emma behind. It was so sad, but it made me sympathize with August a little bit. He was just a little boy, and yet he was given so much responsibility. ๐ฅ
-Mr. Gold’s meeting with August. That man always has a plan B.I don’t really have any least favorite monents. Oh wait, I hated that Emma couldn’t see August’s wooden leg. I was so hoping that this would be the episode where she starts to believe. ๐
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI’m curious to find out if August is now working for Mr. Gold exclusively. Is he his new Syndey? (In the non-romantic sense of course ๐ )

For one thing, I think Mr. Gold wants Emma to believe … for whatever reason. And he thinks/thought August could convince her.
For another … he set that up in his shop … having Gepetto there. ๐ฎ A way to twist the knife, after what happened in the last episode.
I do wonder, though, how he figured out so clearly who August is. Or did I miss something?
Yes, that scene was definitely a little revenge for what August did in last week’s episode.

That brings up the question of what exactly Emma’s power is. I have a feeling her power is making things magical again (e.g. the hat, the compass). She will never be able to actively use magic like Regina or Rumpel, but she somehow triggers the magical attributes of objects or maybe even people. Thus, if Emma got her hands on that dagger, it could very well start working again.
If you’re right (and I suspect that you are), then that makes Emma a very dangerous weapon. Not Emma herself, but the magic that she brings. If she’s able to infuse magic into something without magic, then she could easily be used by someone. Rumpel would be the main candidate for this, since Regina doesn’t even seem to know who she is.
