I think when the curse is broken, everyone will remember who they are meant to be but they will still be stuck in Storybrooke hence the episode title “a land without magic”
That actually makes semse. But, you’d think they would be releaved that magic didn’t exist in this world. They’ve seen what magic can do when it falls into the wrong hands.

There may be a chance for Bae to really be dead, but I don’t think the writers in the first season would devote two episodes to the subject and then pop up and say, “Oh, he’s really dead.” But you never know what twists they’ll come up with to keep us on the edge of our seats. It would be a fitting retribution to all Rumple has done.
You know how sometimes certain thoughts just pop into you head with no evidence…just gut feeling? Well, last week when I was watching “The Return” and Henry popped into Gold’s store, the only thing going through my head was “Grandpa”. I’ve thought before this episode that Henry might be kin to Gold, but it just kept circling around and around in my head so much that I had to rewatch that scene to see what they actually said. I think part of it was that Henry’s one of the only people Gold has actually been kind of nice to in Storybrooke without something being in it for him.
Does Gold know that Henry thinks Storybrooke is populated with fairytale characters? I’m trying to think back on all the conversations about it and I can’t remember if Emma mentioned something to Gold or not. I don’t think Henry would say anything and Regina doesn’t seem like she would admit it to Gold that her son is trying to bring her down. Hmmmm….am I forgetting a conversation somewhere?
ME TOO!!! After listening to last week’s podcast, I am convinced that Mr. Gold is Henry’s grandfather. And if that’s the case, then there’s a possibility that Mr. Gold will be secretly going after the custody of Henry himself. In the sneak peek for tonight’s episode, Mr. Gold refused to help Emma win custody against Regina. As soon as I saw that, I immediately thought, “BECAUSE YOU WANT HIM FOR YOURSELF!!!” 😆 😆 😆
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI’m not exactly sure what would happen if the curse were broken. But I do agree with you most of you…probably something not good. I do, however, like the theory that after the curse is broken everyone will be transported to a different world.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI actually think Rumpel will find a way to leave Storybrooke. And we already know that he will eventually find out about Belle. I’ve read a few theories that say Rumpel will eventually form an alliance with the Blue Fairy and she will help reunite him with both Bele and Baelfire. I guess it would make sense for her character. In fairytale land she was extrememly powerful, but in Storybrooke, she’s just a nun. She has no grand purpose in life anymore. Yes, she’s very religious, but she hasn’t been able to effect a large amount of people like she did in Storybrooke. And her status as a nun is false. She’s not really a nun, and we’re not even sure how religion works in Storybrooke. I wouldn’t be surrpised to see her letting her guard down and helping Rumpel find Baelfire. However, I think she would only agree to do it she truly believes that finding Baelfire or Belle would help Rumpel be a better man in some way.
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterThis spoiler sounds an aweful lot like Jefferson. But the Huntsman could also be a possibility. But the writers have already said that we’ll be seeing more of Belle in Storybrooke rather than Fairytale land, so I’m going to go with Jennerson. 😉 I wonder what he wants with her? Or Maybe Regina finds Jefferson and locks him in the mental asylum with Belle. 😮
Daniel J. LewisKeymasterI chose Mr. Gold/Reumpelstiltskin. But it was tough though. I was almost tempted to vote for August or Regina. But overall, I’m a dearie too. 😀

This suggests a strategy of focusing a hiatus podcast on one theory or one character, and opening up the exploration to include all relevant Season One episodes.
Exactly! And this will need the community’s help, by suggesting content for these episodes and helping collect the relevant links, forum posts or summaries, and other points. We’ll schedule these podcasts so everyone knows what is coming.

I didn’t say it had to do with attraction. It is just that i think it is more acceptable for a man to be this evil character whereas with Regina it is unacceptable for whatever reason. I think it is just unacceptable in both cases. I wasn’t saying that you guys are sexist about this and it got really personal after that. That wasn’t what i meant. I just meant that i think it is generally more acceptable for a male character to be the hard evil character then a female character. I was comparing the two characters and not saying that is what any of you in particular think about the character.
I don’t think that Rumpel was born evil. I just think that what we have seen of him is evil. We definitely are talking in circles because it seems like some of the posters here think that he is doing it for his son is a good enough justification for what he has done and i don’t.
Well my post was taken way too personally and i took yours too personally so we have all been insulted most thoroughly and maybe can just move on from it.
No worries, no harm done. I get what you’re saying, but we’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one. 😉
*Looks Around* Now what do we talk about? 😆

Mr. Gold giving the dagger to August was his act of bravery. Rumpel’s greatest flaws were his cowardice and his lust for power. In that one moment in the woods, he gave up both.
I agree. That was the point of the whole scene. We finally got to see Rumpel do what he should have done years ago. Sacrifice his power for his son. He’s shown that he’s capable of such sacrifice. He knows he’s done terribly evil things, but this was his way of correcting at the very least one of his mistakes.

So, if Baelfire is outside of the curse, then he should remember. Hmm….
Yeah he most likely remembers because the magic bean was not supposed to affect his memory. I’m glad because I am dyeing to see Bae’s reunion with his father. Rumpel created a dark curse; hurting many lives for him, but I am betting Bae will be even more furious at the evil Rumpel caused. 😮
Also, I am now suddenly more appreciative of how Rumpel did not kill Belle…For some reason it really hit me after watching Rumpel kill the mute maid and others so easily that the odds of surviving were not in her favor!
Funny, scary and true. 😆 😯
