Rumple didn’t remember who the fairies were in SB
That makes sense. I think it’s either, as you say, the BF ‘s arrangement, with Gold as the middleman, or Rumple, when he learned Emma’s name back in FTL, was able to see her future and, then knowing about Henry, planted, so deep into his psyche that the curse couldn’t erase it, the command to bring Henry to SB.
Mostly, though, I think it was a mistake in the writing. 😕
However it happened, I think Gold talked Regina into the idea of becoming a parent.

I can’t even comprehend the show without Rumple/Gold played the way he plays them. No “Dearies”, no bizarre little giggles and odd little sounds at the strangest times, no RC flavored vocal inflections when delivering Rumple-centric humor, I’m guessing we wouldn’t have anywhere near the closet full of screen shots of facial expressions that just make the scene . . . It’s basically not even the same show!
No grand, commedia dell’atre gestures, no elegant bows, no distainful sword slaps, no finger pointing “all magic comes with a price” equations. A dull Rumple indeed. James may be the one called Charming, but he ‘s not the only one deserving of the name.
No sword slaps! It’s unthinkable.

ParticipantHe’s also given up, whereas Rumple has been trying for centuries and probably never will quit. Jefferson asked Regina to take away his memory of FTL and Grace. His hope is gone, maybe because he’s spent his entire time in SB powerless and friendless. Since his awakening, Rumple has had the freedom to keep trying.
Now that the curse is broken and Paige knows who she really is, he’s going to have a resolution. It may not be the outcome he’d hoped for, though.

ParticipantI was on the fence about Regina’s love for Henry–many of her decisions were, to my mind, responsible and reasonable. What tips the scale for me is looking at the situation from Henry’s point of view–and it was the parallel situation with Belle that led me to to a resolution. To keep hold of Belle, Regina not only locked her up but also had her receiving psychological treatment–by keeping her drugged and trying to convince her she wasn’t sane, Regina kept her under control, and kept her from learning the truth about herself, her beloved, and everyone else in SB.
Regina resorted to a similar tactic to keep Henry under control: she put him into therapy, not to help him cope with the truth that he was learning, but to convince him the lie was the truth. It’s clear from her conversations with Hopper that her reason for placing Henry in therapy was to get Henry to accept the lie, not to make him feel better. She would have gone so far as to allow Henry to be labeled delusional. Worse, she would have rather had Henry think of himself as ill than to allow him to see the truth. If Henry had been a bit less self -confident, a bit more people-pleasing, he would have grown up convinced that two of the three most important adults in his life thought he was delusional.
Henry needed to be in therapy–but therapy grounded in truth.

Participantt I have a feeling that a power like that wouldn’t have escaped Rumple’s attention and he would’ve paid a pretty price to get his hands on such a mirror.

Seriously, he was the most attractive this season in this scene.
Oh, but the cut of the suit he wore in the last scene of “Land without Magic” was just perfect, emphasizing his shoulders, giving his waist definition. As the weather warms and the coats go back on the hangers, these actors are looking better and better.

ParticipantMr Gold, man of fashion, with a suit for every purpose: the purple shirt for when you’re standing in front of flower baskets decorated with purple flags, the blue shirt for when you’re strolling alog an astroturf path. You’re right, Obisgirl. Gold didn’t need to bring magic to SB: he had it all along.

In SB, Gold and Emma arrive at the sheriff’s office. Henry is waiting there; he congratulates Emma on her “genius plan,” but when Gold asks what he means, Henry realizes he misunderstood the situation: he had assumed Gold, as MM’s attorney, was now part of Operation Cobra, but now he realizes that since Gold wasn’t in on the “plan,” he must not be a trusted confidant. Gold takes Henry’s rejection with good humor and continues into the office, granting Henry and Emma privacy, but a moment later Gold calls for Emma to come. The cell is open, MM is gone, and Gold points out that if she’s not back in time for her arraignment tomorrow, both she and Emma will be in big trouble.Next day, when Regina shows up at the sheriff’s office, Emma, MM, and Gold are waiting. Gold escorts Regina out. In a private conversation, it’s revealed that MM’s escape was a set-up, planned by Gold and Regina. Regina thinks Gold failed to carry out his end of the deal, but Gold assures her, “Results you shall have.”

ParticipantOK, I found something in the rules that may explain the confusion:
“Category placement will not be finalized until 72 hours prior to the publication of the
nominating ballots. Entry in a category does not assure placement in that category. “The ballots will be published June 11.
Also, agents, producers, production companies, tv networks, managers and actors can all submit an actor for consideration for a nomination. With so many different people involved in the decision making, it’s bound to get confusing.
