I reckon Storybrooke might turn against Emma when they find out she took Henry and when they suspect her of poisoning him. I mean, to the public eye Emma has been behaving far more wacko than even Regina in the past few days.

Wow. If Emma is actually accused of attempted murder, I wonder what MM will do : will she report Emma’s abduction of Henry or lie to protect her? Where will David come down on this? Will Gold produce another “bit of magic” to save the savior? Gives me chills just speculating.

Jefferson asks Regina “to write me a new story.” Do you suppose he means that literally–that the way SB and all the new identities were created was by writing them? If so, then Regina must’ve written the book, perhaps with Rumple. Yet in the pilot, Regina seemed genuinely surprised by the book’s existence..unless her surprise was at Henry’s acquisition of the book.

From “Apple”: where is Gold going, why and how?
Why wasn’t Gold in Regina’s dream?
Why didn’t Regina use Belle as her bargaining chip when Gold refused to help get rid of Emma?

    Price of Gold cont’d
Gold refuses to void the contract but accepts another deal: he will give up his claim on the baby in return for a favor from Emma, to be named later. “Deals are the very foundation of civilized existence.”

    Price of Gold, cont’d.
Ella tells Thomas Rumple sent her to the ball. She says Rumple tricked her in their deal. Thomas says magic didn’t “create this love” and suggests they trick Rumple with another deal.
Emma learns Sean’s father made an adoption deal with Gold. Henry echoes what Ella said: Gold is too powerful to break a deal with.
James says Rumple “is the most dangerous man in all the realms” so he and Thomas will imprison him in a dwarf mine where he can’t use magic. There have been other attempts to catch him but all failed. Grumpy says “his strength is also his weakness”: he can’t resist making deals, so they will lie and tell Rumple Ella is carrying twins. Rumple will void the old deal to get the twins. A quill enchanted by the BF will immobilize Rumple. James says Rumple is “a scourge.” Thomas says he will pay the magic’s price. Rumple says he doesn’t alter bargains but agrees when Ella says there will be twins. He is thrilled by this news but becomes suspicious as soon as Ella tells him what she wants: “comfort.” He signs the contract though he openly doubts her and he seems to know the quill is enchanted. “The only way to stop me is through magic.” He reminds her that if she uses magic to imprison him, her debt “would only grow.” When the quill immobilizes him he warns, “No one breaks deals with me” and vows to have the baby “no matter lives you find yourself in.”
Gold comes to the hospital for Ashley’s baby (“my merchandise “).
Thomas vanishes. Rumple denies causing it. He vows Ellla won’t see Thomas again “in this world or the next” until the debt is paid.
Gold reveals that he knows Emma’s background and expects her to understand Ashley’s decision to adopt out the baby. “My agreements are always honored.” Emma challenges the contract’s validity. Emma says she suspects “there’s more to you than a simple pawnbroker” and Gold wouldn’t want his background made public. Gold says he likes Emma and wants her on his side.

    Price of Gold
Rumple makes Ella’s fairy godmother go poof so he can have her wand. He says the wand is “pure evil” but he can control it. “All magic comes with a price.” He would have Ella give up on the idea of solving her problems with magic, but she insists even after he repeats that there will be consequences. He makes a deal, a night at the ball in return for “something precious” and small. He has her sign a contract.
Emma gives Ashley the same advice: solve your own problems.
Ashley breaks into Gold’s shop, maces him and steals the contract she signed giving up her unborn baby. Gold comes to MM’s apartment to ask Emma to find Ashley. MM hastily leaves the room. Gold will not specify what Ashley stole. He says he doesn’t want to involve the police because it would ruin her life and the baby would be born in jail. Henry enters and seems intimidated by Gold even though Gold greets him warmly. After Gold leaves Henry says he can’t fifure out who Gold is.
Rumple appears uninvited at Ella’s wedding reception. He confirms with her that she is satisfied with his end of the bargain and wil be back to collect her payment: her firstborn, which he knows is coming.

    The Thing You Love Most
We see Gold walking around town in the morning. No one speaks to him; he speaks to no one.
Malificent says of the curse, “Whoever created that monstrosity makes the two of us look positively moral.”
We learn that Rumple made the dark curse and will not stop EQ from enacting it. He agrees to trade instructions about the curse for a price: “In this new land, I want comfort. I want a good life.” But he adds a caveat : “You must heed my every request …so long as I say ‘please.'” EQ thinks Rumple will lose his memory of FTL when the curse is enacted; he doesn’t disavow her of this notion. He seems insulted when EQ tells him she sacrificed her horse for the curse, then insulted again that she’s taking so long: “Great power must come from great sacrifice.”
Gold visits Regina at the apple tree. He corrects her when she says she’s gotten rid of Emma. He says Regina should have come to him; he could fix the problem “for a price.” When Regina says
she won’t “make deals with” him “any more,” he tests her by asking which deal she means. We learn that he “procured” Henry for her. Through their conversation it seems clear that not only does he remember FTL, he has been plotting something that involves Emma. He demonstrates his lack of fear of Regina by eating from one of her (poison?) apples and tossing it away.

For “Dreamy”: can Leroy and Astrid have a future together?
We know now where dwarves come from; what about fairies?
Does all fairy magic come from dust and wands? Do fairies have magic within their bodies, as EQ and Rumple do?

I feel sorry for Gold, off there in wallflower territory. I know he chose to be anti-social, but he still seems lonely. Storybrooke ladies must be made of stern stuff: anywhere else, a single, rich guy who dresses well and has multiple professions would have a flock of female followers, even if he is curmudgeonly.

She needs a makeover from Mr Rumple.
