ParticipantDavid and MM’s reconciliation will be aided by Gold, using some of the momentos from his shop.
Rumple will slap away another sword before the end of the season. (I know it’s a small prediction, but I need to get at least one right.)

ParticipantI see Archie’s gotten a lot of votes but little discussion. I selected Archie because, with three very different people now sharing confessions with him, it’s going to be difficult for him to remain objective. I think he’s going to become a believer and then a fighter …and as a scientist a trusted member of the community, people will listen when he speaks–which makes him dangerous to Regina.

ParticipantI wonder what it was like for Regina when she realized that baby Henry was growing–since time was frozen and the other kids weren’t growing. I wonder if, at the time of the adoption, she knew that would happen, that one day he would be grown up and she would have to let him go–the only mom in town to have to do so.
Okay, now I feel sorry for her.

ParticipantThe shovel that the shard came from is not the same shovel that Gold was using in “Lonely Hunter.” Of course that doesn’t completely rule out Gold as the heart burier…
Wonder who was that anonymous caller who reported seeing Regina digging a hole? Could it be–oh, I dunno, perhaps a well-dressed fellow with a penchant for early-morning gardening?

ParticipantI was just rewatching “Still Small Voice” and I’m convinced Regina does love Henry; her reactions to Henry’s entrapment–for example, the way she swallows her pride to cooperate with Emma–suggest to me real concern and affection for Henry. I suppose it’s possible she’s putting on a show for her constituents, but the catch in her voice convinces me. If Regina is redeemed at series’ end, I think it will be because of her love for Henry and vice versa.
As to how she decided to adopt Henry, my hunch is that Gold planted the notion in her head. Gradually, over small conversations, bit by bit his suggestions led her to “realize” that she ought to be a mother…all part of his scheme to bring the savior to town.

ParticipantAnd to not have a deputy, even a temporary one, to be in the jail whenever Emma has to be out, that bothers me. After all, there’s a horrible murderer running around out there who clearly has it in for MM; if you were Emma wouldn’t you make sure MM had constant protection?

Okay guys, was able to update today.
I just realized no one has called that August is Baelfire. Anyone want to call that before the end of the season?
)Lissy did, on Mar. 31.
Just so I have a chance st one correct prediction, I’m calling that Gold planted the idea in Regina’s head that she should adopt a child; she didn’t plan to be a mother until Gold pointed her in that direction. And of course this idea occurred to Gold after he learned that Emma, whom he had been watching from afar all her life, was going to have a baby. So Henry’s adoption was Gold’s scheme to bring Emma to SB.

ParticipantI think Gold has a lot in common with Sawyer from Lost. Sawyer’s reformation took a long time, but it did happen, and I’m confident it will happen for Gold too….although, come to think of it, Sawyer had to let go of his first love before he found lasting love with Juliet…Hmm, I wonder if a residual distrust of his wife played a small part in Rumple’s reluctance to get close to Belle.’

ParticipantNot to be greedy, but since no one else has claimed it, I’ll keep Charming’s gray steed.

ParticipantI’ll take a stab at the Dark One questions and say I agree with Pandora’s Imp: there is only one Dark One at a time. It seems pretty clear that the only way to become the Dark One is to kill the current holder of that title; hence, there can be only one at a time. And the dagger is a huge part of the Dark One’s mythology; we haven’t seen any indication that there is a dagger for either Cora or Regina, or that they even know about the dagger (if Regina did know about the dagger surely it would have been a primary quest for her to possess it so she would control Rumple. And both Zoso and Rumple were miserable with being the Dark One, but Regina and Cora relish their magic powers and seek to gain more. It seems likely to me that the ladies both sought to become magical beings, in full knowledge of what that would mean, and are happy with their choice.
