Now that we know Emilie will be a regular, I’m moving over to the living-with-Gold side. The writers no longer need an excuse for Emilie to be off-camera. I would have liked to have seen how Belle as an intermediary might have affected the Gold-Mother Superior relationship, though.

It would be total chaos! The wild west with magic–people zapping each other on every street corner. Emma would have to recruit mom and dad as deputies. When you consider what possessing magic did to Rumple, Regina, even the BF, it would be far worse on people who didn’t grow up in a world of magic. Egad! Rumple and Regina would have to team up to take control of the citizenry.

Rewatching the opening scene of the pilot, I noticed Charming doesn’t have his enchanted ring.

A lot of the Rumbelle fanfiction deals with this question and the consensus seems to be that Rumple did investigate but was presented enough “evidence” that he believed the lie. It probably wouldn’t have been too hard for Regina to fake a death.

Early in season 2, Rumple and Belle really need to have that air-clearing talk to resolve these questions for us.
