The Stranger
The Blue Fairy tells Geppetto the same information about the curse that Rumple said, back when he talked to Charming and Snow from his prison cell.
In SB, the information August provides Emma reiterates everything the BF and Rumple have said about the curse. These separate testimonies, from independent sources, confirm that Rumple can indeed see the future, at least in part, and that he tells the truth in his deals, at least most of the time.[adrotate group="5"]darcyfarrowParticipantThe Stranger
In SB, August phones Gold for a meeting.
Later, August arrives at the pawn shop to find Gold busy with someone he’s hiring to fix a cuckoo clock. With a sly smile Gold draws August’s attention to the clock–and to the repairman, Marco, whom August recognizes (the recognition is not returned). August is stunned. Marco leaves and Gold chides August for not speaking up: “What are you afraid of?” August refuses to answer and Gold continues to smirk. Gold then wants to know why August is taking so long in getting Emma to believe. August protests; Emma is distracted by the custody fight for Henry. Gold remarks, “Sounds like Ms. Swan needs a course correction” (a phrase that was used often in Lost).
August asks that when Emma tries to hire Gold as her legal counsel, Gold should refuse, so Emma will then turn to August as her only supporter. “Knowing who you are and your nature, trust is a big ask,” Gold laughs harshly, but he agrees to redirect Emma.
Emma comes to the shop to ask Gold to be her attorney; he claims she would lose the case and Henry would suffer in the process. Emma pushes: “The only person I’ve ever seen go head to head with Regina and win is you.” Gold replies, “That’s because I know how to pick my battles.” He smiles as she storms out, knowing she’s on her way to see August.darcyfarrowParticipantD
darcyfarrowParticipantHere’s the entry for special effects makeup:
“Once Upon A Time
Dreamy
March 4, 2012
Synopsis
Mary Margaret teams up with Leroy, Storybrooke’s resident trouble maker, to help him sell candles during the Miner’s Day Festival. Emma investigates Kathryn’s sudden disapperance. Meanwhile, in the fairy-tale land that was, the Seven Dwarfs is made known as well as Grumpy’s romance with the beautiful yet clumsy fairy Nova.
Technical Description
We created eleven dwarves to populate this fairytale land – the traditional seven, AND four more: Bossy, Stealthy, Watchy and Helper.
Our design had to be subtle enough to carry over into the mid-world of Storybrooke with recognizable structure.
We created silicone nose prosthetics encapsulated in plastic, and gelatin ears to allow for the believable play of light on their translucence. Four characters had hand-knotted beards and two had their own beards dressed and reshaped.

“Synopsis
The Season 1 Finale, Emma and Regina work together to save Henry. Prince Charming escapes the Evil Queen and Makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin to find Snow White.
Technical Description
Rumplestiltskin’s make-up look is achieved with a combination of stipple applied 3rd degree silicone on all exposed skin, paint, artificial nails, painted teeth, and contact lenses.
Sarah Graham, Department Head Makeup Artist
Zabrina Matiru, Additional Makeup Artist”darcyfarrowParticipantWe’ve also got
directing noms for the pilot, “Land,” “Shepherd”
art direction for “Dreamy,” pilot, “Red Handed”
casting
cinematography for pilot, “Red Handed”
costumes for “Hat Trick” (surprised there weren’t a lot more noms here)
editing for “Skin Deep,” “Hat Trick” and “Land” (the OUAT editors do a fabulous job with scene transitions, don’t you think?)
guest actor: Sebastian Stan
guest actress: Barbara Hershey, Bailee Madison, Meghan Ory
makeup for “Land” and “Dreamy” (but not hairstyling!)
main title design
sound editing for “Land”
sound mixing for pilot
stunts for “Land”
outstanding writing for pilot and “Skin Deep”darcyfarrowParticipantThanks for finding that, Oncescape.
So the final lineup is
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama: Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin
Outstanding Supporting Actor: Eion Bailey, Robert Carlyle, Josh Dallas, Jared Gilmore
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Lana ParillaThe good news: voters can select up to 6 names in each category, so it’s possible all of our people will make the final ballot. The bad news: there are 46 names in the lead actress category, 237 in the supporting actor category, 141 in the supporting actress category.
Submitting a Rumple head shot might’ve been a smart move–it sure sets RC apart! You see picture after picture of these guys all looking so dressed up and serious, and then all of a sudden, there’s Rumple grinning at the camera. 😀 You’re right, Oncescape, about the others not submitting pictures–it could’ve helped, particularly for voters who see only one or two episodes of the series. Once does have a large cast and it could be tough for the uninitiated to keep the names straight.
By the way, it’s kind of interesting that another candidate for supporting actor is Alan Cumming, who worked with RC in Plunkett and Mcleane; Cumming’s up for playing a character in The Good Wife whose name is. . . Mr. Gold.

darcyfarrowParticipantI caved. I started writing Rumple stories on fanfiction.net. If we don’t get some spoilers soon, I may start constructing hats next.
