Well I have one of two theories on Zoso’s return.

Theory 1: There will be a Flashback within the Flashback that goes back to that time.

Theory 2: It’s a premonition or the ghost of Zoso that guards the box that Rumple wants.

Well this is a full on Imp Rumple we are dealing with in the flashbacks although still not saying much I guess.  But I will say this Rumple did seem a bit extra scary in the promo when he says do it but maybe it’s just the advertising

That sounds…SO AWESOME! Really it would explain so much, The Doctor’s love of humanity not to mention why he is so different from the other Time Lords. I wonder if End of Time took some influence from this concept.
