I sorta lean with Matt that they might have been planning this from the start of their Oz arc idea. But that doesn’t mean that, subjectively, it’s a good story or that some viewers aren’t going to see it as a way to quickly clean up the ‘mess” made last season with the love triangle/OQ drama And there is one aspect of this that no one has pointed out, so I’ll do it : this is another disturbing treatment of a POC of their show. Like Lancelot, Marian (a POC) is actually secretly a (evil) white woman.

Basically when Snowing met in the woods with the QoD: –it ‘s in the past –But Charming met Mal for the first time when he put the egg in Mal –So ….Mal has egg inside her (she must since Snow is there and AWAKE). So this is AFTER 122 flashbacks
Also notice that Snow said “She;ll make us pay.” My guess she is talking about Regina and the Curse.

Technically that was a red orb the one Regina broke was crystal.
They have said before that Rumple “created the curse”, but I think their way around this is that Rumple still had to get the raw base for the curse from somewhere. He then added his own modifications, hence “creating” the curse.
Okay…I can buy that.
I think it make sense. For me my perspective is, that those who are capable of great good are also capable of committing great evil!
Greatest Example Superman…Ever Time Superman goes evil. BAAD STUFF HAPPENS. I mean those Injustice games…All the hero’s and Villains have to team up to defeat Superman.
There’s an inconsistency in Chernabog’s size. When he’s perched on the clock tower, he looks huge with the clock tower being dwarfed by him. When he’s facing off against Regina and Emma, he’s only slightly bigger than they are, about 7 or 8 foot.
It’s probably the CGI, plus Chernabog flying around makes the size kind of hard to pin point.
