ParticipantWhere’s the rabbit, lol? And it seems the Red Queen’ll definitely be borrowing fashion tips from Regina. đ

ParticipantLOL, gratz RumplesGirl! đ

ParticipantThat is exactly the biggest problem I have with Felix and Regina, even more than the apparent age difference! Theyâre on opposing sides and it would be just as disgusting to see Regina end up with Greg/Own as it would be for her to choose Felix. Not only was Regina old enough to be Owenâs mother in 1983, but Owen helped kidnap Henry! No way can Regina move past that sort of horrible betrayal.
In all fairness, Regina betrayed Greg/Owen first, she can hardly complain about that.

ParticipantGrendel could be code for Jabberwocky. Alice might even meet âJackâ in her travels through WL.
Then they’d have specified it’s a voice acting role, wouldn’t they? I don’t think there’s been any humanoid interpretation of the Jabberwocky; Burton’s in particular bore similarities to a dragon. For Grendel, on the other hand, that seems to be the rule.
But yes, if that’s not THE Grendel they’re casting then it necessarily will have to be another well known monster, because Adam and Eddy, when talking about Robin Hood’s role in Lacey, were very clear that they’re much more interested in bringing established characters from other tales than creating random peasant/thief/whatever to interact with their cast. It defeats that point to use the name of a well-known character for the casting call of a nobody.

ParticipantI really donât want Hook to be Eric. Eric should be his own character.
Well, one thing’s for sure: that’s a revelation they’d likely postpone until the very end of season 3, as it’d end the triangle the moment it airs on screen. đ

ParticipantUm, just noticed this but Episdoe is misspelled in the thread title.
RumplesGirl changed the name of her topic about Sidney Glass returning, if that’s a regular feature of the topic creator you might be able to fix it. đ

ParticipantDemileto, I donât think you saw the whole context. I started by saying I donât think Regina should kill Greg as she killed his father and at a time when he was already disturbed by the loss of his mother. My original hope was that Regina would not consider Greg a satisfying favorite kill, that she might hesitate.
Yes, admittedly I skimmed through the discussion and missed a bunch of context. I think you can see through my answer that the way Regina/Greg was handled is, to me, one of those subjects one takes any hook, however flimsy, to vent his/her frustation. I detested it that much, and your post ended up being the scapegoat for that. Sorry. đ
Phee then pointed out that Regina likely does not see it that way. Her warning Greg to leave in Grannyâs was as close to warm and Fuzzy Regina as she is capable of being with someone who (in her messed up mind) rejected her. I do not apologize or excuse the wrongness of her, or him in their actions towards each other. Yes, Greg indirectly led to Reginaâs son losing his father (and he directly set up a situation that would have killed her sonâs entire family, including her) but I doubt Regina feels outrage about the rest of Henryâs family. She was going to kill them too, remember. Reginaâs level of empathy is still vastly underdeveloped compared to her own ego and issues. She couldnât point out his hypocrisy without revealing her own.
I would never envison that scenarion as Regina showing empathy for Greg or Henry’s biological family, but her mocking his self righteousness and presumption that he’s better than her when he’s not.
I donât think either one has any love lost, but what I feel as an audience member is that Regina should not âwinâ even though his retaliation took on a larger scale to what she did to him personally. Someone else could kill him. He could die tragically, he could get shot by Tamara, these are things I have suggested. Even being killed by PP offhand when they show up to illustrate how cruel and boss PP is. The one way I donât think Greg should be killed is as if Regina is the hero finally smacking down the villain. She is not the hero in this situation. Neither is he.
Agreed.

ParticipantGood point Phee, that Regina is emotional and Greg did literally burn any bridge there (with electricity!)
In all fairness, it was the other way around – Regina was the one to burn any bridge there by kidnapping Kurt, killing him and not be remotely honest or remorseful to Greg/Owen about that.
Regina’s whole attitude towards Greg Mendell the moment she realizes he’s adult Owen Flynn is so disturbingly cold for someone who once connected to him as a young boy and considered being his stepmother that it made me really wonder is that’s how she’d be treating Henry as a grown up if he kept his stance against Regina’s wrongdoings. That’d totally be character assassination for Regina, so I was very pleased to see the finale relieving me of this fear.
However, that doesn’t change the fact that, for all the greatness that was seeing Regina’s relationship to young Owen, the follow up with Greg Mendell has been a big letdown. Nothing that made Regina/Owen special carried over to Regina/Greg, not even Regina’s soft spot for him, so what was the point in spending a whole episode developing that? I feel this damaged any potential the character might’ve had, and it’s telling that the only thing I still expect to see from Regina/Greg is for her to throw in his face how big a hypocrite he’s been being pissy about her killing his father when his girlfriend essentially did the same to Henry’s (that they know of) and not only he’s not taking a stance against it but was also helping her to complet the job, killing his mothers and grandparents through the destruction of Storybrooke. After that he’s useless, and he could get a comical, black humor-like death for all I care.
