ParticipantI thought that there were copyright problems with trying to get Rufio on Once?
Adam and Eddy didn’t seem like they’ve delved too much into whatever legal issues there might exist that could prevent Rufio from being part of the show when asked about him in last Lightning Round for season 2:
Does Rufio exist in your version of Neverland?
Kitsis: You know what? At this point, everyone has asked us about Rufio. Our entire writers’ room is pitching Rufio. I don’t know whether or not that is property of Sony.
Horowitz: Whatever studio did it, I think Rufio is a proprietary character.
Kitsis: He lives in our hearts.
Horowitz: We love Rufio and we wish he could be a part of this show. In our minds, he exists in the show whether you see him or not.Either way, the same was true for the characters of Peter Pan in season 1 and they eventually got the rights for them.
I still have high hopes that the casting is indeed for Rufio – as seen above, they HAVE said that they love Rufio and wish he could be a part of the show – but I have to admit this extended description of the character does look like it could fit Peter Pan rather well.
PS: If he is indeed Rufio, he better say a variation of “KILL THE LAWYER!” π

ParticipantThanks RG for the breaking news announcement on the chat box, would’ve never noticed this otherwise! π
I’m inclined to agree with “Truest Believer” being Henry. He’s always been the most idealistic character in the series, fiercely believing in good and so against evil, I can totally see his kidnapping, his being alone in an unknown world, separated from his family, taking a toll on him, somewhat paralleling Neal’s own experiences.

ParticipantI think Neal will eventually find out about Henry being kidnapped by Peter, but I’m skeptical about the burning room. Adam and Eddy already gave themselves an out with Snow having built barriers over time to prevent her going there, I see them extending that to Charming, Henry and Aurora after all this time without touching that subject.
He likely will either contact or arrive Storybrooke before heading to Neverland. How is still to be seen.

ParticipantHeh, I don’t rule out seeing Jack again. Kalinda Vazquez, writer of Tiny, confirmed on twitter Jack had been to Wonderland:
@applegirlie21 Not at all! When Jack says she slew a Jabberwocky, it meant she's been to wonderland, which is where she got the mushroom.

Since Jack mentioned a wise woman in her chat with Anton, I could definitely see her being the one to kidnap Henry Sr. for Cora. π
ETA: Nice, embedded Twitter post! No more screencaps of those! π

ParticipantI hope the panels are separate. In ATX Festival Adam and Eddy were there for both shows, but they ended up being asked almost completely OUAT questions because, well that’s the show we know a lot more about and have characters that we already care about. I wanted to know more about OUATinWL and that sucked. π

ParticipantDefinitely loved to hear that. Now if only we got more spoilers about the series… π

ParticipantThey donβt actually have the rights to use Rufio, do they?
They didn’t, but rights can be acquired. Who knows? They didn’t have for the characters of Peter Pan originally, but they ended up getting for them all. What I know is that they’d very much love to have Rufio in the show:
Does Rufio exist in your version of Neverland?

In our minds, he exists in the show whether you see him or not.And honestly, I’d feel pretty cheated to find out they used a codename for a well-known character that’s recognized as another well-known character (ok, more or less in this case) in the same universe as the former and that fans have been asking for.

Hmmm, I guess it’d make Peter too much of a monster if he WAS the Duke, yeah. In any case, I think the Duke is a better choice for bigger mastermind than the always mentioned Blue Fairy since, like I said, he put the events that led to Rumple becoming the Dark One and losing Bae in motion
The problem with your last bit is that while we do mention the BF a lot more when it comes to the big mastermid, the Duke is so minor we’ve only heard about him maybe once or twice. The BF has connections to many many stories and has proved herself to be very suspicious, thus why so many of us are on Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky boat. The Duke’s only role was to be the person in charge of the war, who was doing a very bad job of it and controlling the Dark One. They needed someone to be controlling Zoso so that he would be desperate enough to trick Rumple, so for that they needed some kind of warlord.
I would by that PP’s real home is FTL but I think he is much older than Rumple AND the Duke. I think he is as old as the BF. PP sent the BF to FTL to make sure his plans came about and thus they need to be from roughly the same time period and we know (or at least have been told) that the BF is older than Rumple, probably as old as the Dark One’s curse itself.
Honestly, connection to so many stories is hardly a testment of guilty to me, it just means that she’s the default fairy they use whenever they want good magic to play a role in the story. The only moment that she’s played a somewhat relevant role in defining future events was the Rumple/Bae one in “The Return” and even that one was more the fault of Rumple than her.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I suppose the Lost Ones are similar to people who are loyal to noblemen. And they could be the “friends” of PP who went with him when he left FTL. I don’t know. I’m not 100% sold, I still think the Duke is very minor player who came up just because they needed someone ordering children to the front line.

I think if there is more to the Duke then it’s more likely that he is being played by THO/PP same as everyone else. The Duke had an actual castle he was living in and I don’t think PP can leave NL, only his shadow. can.
The Duke had a castle, but we haven’t seen him living there (actually, we haven’t seen him at all!) . I was thinking that could be Peter’s father’s castle, and he’s using the title he inherited to command the events in FTL from Neverland.
