ParticipantThe only issue I have is if all this is true—Robin is in the mental hospital and not dead-dead–where exactly *is* the hospital?? NYC? Land Without Color? And no matter where it is how did Robin get there?
Those are the questions … I honestly have no real theory on that … yet.
Maybe Robin is struck by a curse that gives him a dual personality. Regina will be able to break the curse of course – but not if she doesn’t know where he is or that he’s even alive …
I have to think about this one some more …

ParticipantHonestly I was also 100% convinved that Robin was dead. But over the last few weeks with slight teases that something else might be up, I’m starting to think that we might have another Season 2 Neal-ish cliffhanger for Robin. Something will happen to him a few episodes before the finale and then he’ll have one very quick scene towards the end which indicates that he might still be alive (like when Aurora & Mulan found Neal washed up unconscious on the beach in FTL).
Yup, that’s my thinking too now …

ParticipantHmmm. This makes me go from being 100% convinced that Robin is going to die – to not so sure. I think something will happen to him, for sure, but I also think he may no be entirely dead and that the season 6 mental hospital arc may have something to do with that. He and Regina will be separated. He may be left for or presumed dead, but then something indicates that he is in fact a live. Also, Sean’s comment that the season finale will leave fans either really happy or really sad (when asked about the rumours of Robin’s death) makes me think that something will happen in the finale to reveal that he may not be dead since BTS pics indicate that his supposed death will happen before the finale.

Participant[mod] It’s getting a little snarky in here. Everyone take 5 steps back and breathe and remember to play nice in the sandbox. [/mod]
So I see you closed the Blind Item thread, which is why I’m addressing it here – since I cannot post there.
It’s kind of a shame that because two people are being snarky, the rest of us are prevented from continuing a thread. Just my opinion.

ParticipantWe’re not in denial, we see all of the evidence. If anything, I’m at a point where I encourage Sean Maguire to just leave all of this (beep) behind, he definetly deserves better than what he’s so far gotten….two lines an episode while holding Regina’s purse, and undeserved hate from SQ Fandom. Adam and Eddy have took a character like Robin Hood, and wasted all of his potential…..we couldn’t even get a proper backstory of the man. Robin Hood was supposed to be an equal for Regina, someone who didn’t take her crap and could put her in her place when she needed to be, much like how he was in Season 3….I don’t know what happened in the writing rooms in Season 4 and 5 because this is not what we imagined. Rumors are already swirling around twitter that Regina will have a new love interest, I wouldn’t be surprised if they retcon and say Robin Hood wasn’t her soul mate, but the fairy dust was actually pointing to the man sitting in front of him. So if Regina has to lose a soul mate, fine, deny this woman her true love for the THIRD time, it’s not like she had to kill Daniel herself a few seasons ago which destroyed her, but whatever. Half of the OutlawQueen fandom hates Zelena, luckily for me, I love her so when Regina loses a soul mate, at least I know she’ll gain a sister and a niece. Set reports have reported Zelena and Regina to have hugged recently, so I’m 100% sure they’ve buried the hatchet, or as @TheWatcher would say, the broomstick!
I swear for as much trauma as they’ve both gone through, Regina Mills and Meredith Grey could be best friends.
This!!
He’s friggin Robin Hood. There was so much storyline potential there and they just messed it up … What a waste.

ParticipantA few things Matt and I are tossing around: –what if the characters themselves do a Jekyll/Hyde storyline? Either their negative aspects break off from their very selves and run around SB causing havoc: give our heroes and villains a chance to literally fight the worst versions of themselves. –Or, same theme, but instead all the characters transition between their good and bad selves like Jekyll does.
Interesting, but also a bit like what they did with Shattered Sight …
Nope. Still say Lion King.
Nordica
ParticipantYou know, if the Jekyll thing is correct, maybe Jacob and Nathaniel really aren’t brothers, but are actually alter egos of one another just like in the actual story. The brothers thing could have been a lie in the casting call to throw us all off. Adam and Eddy did admit that they lied about casting for Rumple’s mother, just so that they could keep Merida a secret.
True. The difference between Jekyll and Hyde was just much bigger than what we’re seeing from the bts photos so far. I did a whole thesis on the literary focus on man and animality in the wakes of Origin of the Species. Jekyll and Hyde was a prominent title there along with e.g. The Island of Dr. Moreau.
But of course, A & E may choose to not make Hyde so outré … and take the modern spin.
At this point, I’m still going with a strangely eurocentric Lion King storyline.

ParticipantHaha banana leaves…that made me chuckle a bit. The euro-clothing is odd. How on earth could they tie Scar into a mental hospital arc? This is so weird and no one knows what it is really for sure. So intriguing.
Remember Scar with the hyenas … They were definitely bonkers. Just saying 😉

ParticipantHello giant scar on face…… Well that throws in a bit of a curve ball.
I have been saying it, and saying it, and saying it … Even before we saw a scar. The two brothers will be Scar and Simba. Sam Witwer is Scar!
Well…I’m not wholly convinced, yet. The scar easily be a Jekyll/Hyde thing–mad scientist indicated by some sort of physical malady. The clothing is wildly off for the Lion King. I’m not saying we dress them in banana leaves, but I would really hope they wouldn’t cast the very African tale in such Euro-centric clothing. The scar is interesting, but I wouldn’t quite jump to Lion King quite yet.
You’re right. The clothing and eurocentricity is definitely off … But wouldn’t put anything past the writers …
I’m not saying it can’t be Jekyll and Hyde, but it’s not very Disney nor a fairy tale … I know Frankenstein isn’t either, but still …
Also, considering the latest BTS photos in front of the fountain where Henry is seen standing by a huge Lion statue – seems suggestive to me.
