ParticipantFair enough. That was just the first thought that hit me–didn’t he make a deal with that thing? …I obsess way too much over these things.
That’s okay; it’s your job to obsess over the chronology.

ParticipantIm so happy, and you know why? Bc almost one year after Neal dying for CS, i got my present in a form of a ship that i had in another fandom( that i left), that only they became canon this year, but today they defeated Cs, is like i came to a full circle. The ship i call the SF of the TVD fandom, won a poll against CS, i call it karma. here it is the best tv couple of 2015
I voted for them, without having ever watch Vampire Diaries, as I commented on the podcast’s Facebook post about the poll.

ParticipantUrsula and Cruella “taking care” of a bunch of orphan puppies and/or kittens.
Uh….
99 puppies. Don’t worry; Pongo will save them.

ParticipantOkay, so I just had to try out this plot generator.
Neal and Emma are Pokémon trainers that cross paths and end up traveling together.
Neal and Emma fighting together, back to back.
Emma and Neal as buddy cops (I would watch this — Swan & Bae).
Emma and Neal as medieval-fantasy RPG characters archetypes (“You wish to have the curse reversed?).
Neal giving Emma a present.
Emma discovers Neal’s terrible secret (I know you are Baelfire.).
Then I had to do some fore Henry and Neal.
Henry and Neal in matching cosplays (Henry as Luke Skywalker; Neal as Darth Vader).
Neal knits an ugly sweater and forces Henry to wear it (“I hate it! Why couldn’t you have made me a scarf!?”).
Henry and Neal meeting after they haven’t seen each other in a very long time.
Then it got silly.
Walken!Hook playing pranks on Killian Jones (The visual!).
Killian Jones has offended Walken!Hook in some way but doesn’t realize it.
Then, after using Captain Hook, I had to use Pan!
Pan and Felix taking care of a bunch of orphan puppies and/or kittens.
Pan is the lead singer and Felix is the guitarist in a band (The Lost Boys).
Then some other pairs.
Dr. Whale suspects Ruby is a werewolf. Ruby is actually hiding a more mundane secret (Okay, I kept clicking for this one.).
Merida and Elsa meet when Merida finds Elsa’s lost pet (polar bear?).
Finally, for the QoD, I had to do some for Cruella and Ursula.
Ursula and Cruella “taking care” of a bunch of orphan puppies and/or kittens.
Ursula as a film noir detective and Cruella as the desperate client.

ParticipantNeal and Emma are reincarnated lovers, but aren’t initially compatable to each other. (Gaaaaaah)
New headcanon: Emma is a reincarnated Morraine.

ParticipantA bit disappointed she didn’t talk about Neal’s death.
Jiminy’s Journal
ParticipantI just finished listening to Other Side podcast and they touched on some things that I think are key to why this show has been failing as of late. And it has nothing to do with ships or Neal’s death.
1) The formula. Everything about this show now is formulaic. Villain comes to SB–has connection to either Rumple/Regina and the Charmings–Villains has messed up backstory–Villain has some sort of magical object that will make her win–shenanigans–Villain defeated at 11th hour. Repeat
It’s exhausting. Why should I buy emotionally invested in any of these characters when I know how the story will end and when I know what comes after?
2) The flashbacks: pointless, useless and becoming deadly dull.
3) Not focusing on what matters: everyone seemed to like the montage in 412 because it had some of that S1 charm to it. But those moments of family and focusing on the characters “slice of life” is brief and all too rare
1. Technically, everyone is related to Henry. In fairness, no familiar connection has been shown for any of the QoD.
2. Case in point: the lack of Neverland flashbacks in 3A (especially “The New Neverland”).
3. I feel like this is one of the big problems with the two-arcs-per-season format. It doesn’t give enough time to develop the story and show the people of Storybrooke.
