In the end, I’m not sure I was totally sold on this trilogy of episodes. I’ve seen stronger 3 part (or even two part) episodes from the show and this doesn’t really rank amongst them. It’s not horrible by any stretch of the imagination. Though, still giving big props to Peter for his performance. I’m gonna miss him.
Honestly, They could have cut half of PatEotW (all the padding) and put in the Missy flashbacks from “Extremis,” and it would have been a much better story. ‘Cause, in the end, what was the point of the simulation?

I watched Class when it aired in Canada, like a year ago? I think? I remember not being 100% on board with the first couple of episodes but really liking it by the end. Which episodes are you referring to?
I’m liking the finale three-parter (First two are Detained and TMEoWQD) so far.

I think this current trilogy would be best binged watched. The first episode was too Moffat-esque (for me, at least), the second was too boring but the hook at the end was great. If we were binge watching this year, I would have instantly watched the next episode to see what happens.
For me the rest of the season has been a lot of great standalone episodes that don’t make me gasping for the next episode but always leave me happy when the next Saturday rolls around.

Jiminy’s JournalParticipantAh, so the Zen Master works for Bashir al Ghul. (totally gonna call him that now. Thanks @Jiminy).
The CoO’s goal is essentially the Queen/Merlyn Undertaking.
Or Batman Begins.
There’s something uncomfortable about the way the show keeps developing their female characters which is to villainize them. And both turns to villainy comes after heartbreak which gets a bit of a side eye from me.
Or kill them (Kristen Kringle, Gertrude Capulput, Liza, Sarah Essen, Ethel Peabody). Or Chuck Cunningham them (Renee Montoya, Silver St. Fox). Or creepily age them up, while dumbing them down (Ivy Pepper). I do realize a listed characters that are already villains.
Selina and Fish are pretty much the best-handled female characters on this show, at this point. One an anti-hero, one a straight-up villain.
(Also, is it just me, or are all their bisexual characters villains?)
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantNot SF-related, but still Baelfire-related — Dylan Schmid recently posted this on IG:

Jiminy’s JournalParticipantOn the topic of Jerome, I think Cameron’s natural smile in S2 looked better than the Jack Nicholson-style makeup they gave him in S3.
May 25, 2017 at 3:35 pm in reply to: Sonequa Martin-Green Cast as Lead on new Star Trek series #339263Jiminy’s JournalParticipantNow, I could be way off, but I’m wondering if DSC could be using a flashback format similar to OUaT and Arrow.
Here’s how I’m thinking the Pilot might go: Most of the Present stuff will be in the desert. Just Burnham and Georgiou walking and talking. We keep flashing back to Burnham’s first mission on the Shenzhou — the first encounter with the Klingon Sarco Ship. At the end of the episode, they beam aboard the Discovery and meet its crew.
Throughout the series, we will be flashing back to Burnham’s time on the Shenzhou, while the “present” events will take place on the Discovery. Some of the crew may also carry over from the Shenzhou. This could even allow them to have “The Cage”-style uniforms, as well as the ones shown in the trailer.
Of course, like I said, this is just a theory, and I could be WAY off. Thoughts?
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantI was trying to edit a post in the Gotham thread (I made a typo), but when I hit “Submit,” it vanished. I tried reposting it, but nothing. Checked in another browser and on mobile — not there. My post history doesn’t show it, but I am listed as the last person to post in the thread, despite someone else’s post showing up.
I believe I fixed it?
Yippee! And it didn’t even quadruple-post!
May 25, 2017 at 11:18 am in reply to: This is what outran the curse – Will we find out in S7? #339242Jiminy’s JournalParticipantI am 100% convinced that’s Maleficent.
In fact, I’m writing that into a fic.
