April 3, 2017 at 2:53 pm in reply to: Sonequa Martin-Green Cast as Lead on new Star Trek series #335517Jiminy’s JournalParticipant
I guess Sasha is going to die in the Walking Dead then.
Well not exactly, she may die or not, TWD films from summer to winter, they already filmed and there are other regular cast members from TWD on other projects, and this films from January I think bc is to premiere in may, also this may not be the big success people think, reboots most of the time fail.
She died.
Anyway, Sonequa’s finally been officially announced:

Michael’s not typically, a girl’s name, but it’s not unheard of.
[adrotate group="5"]Jiminy’s JournalParticipantNo Savior mythology that they promised would come in the second half. No savior motivation from Jafar. They reduced it to him just wanting to get rid of Agrabah bc they hated him. He somehow rid his genie trap. The black fairy took over the back half of this season when they realized the show was done and they wanted to incorporate her. So Jafar got the boot. So annoying. He had so much promise. He was menacing with his staff and his voice and his confidence. And they were tying it into the Savior…it should have been cool. But nope. They offed him in two episodes and defeated him with magical red dust. And how many times are people without magical abilities going to realize they don’t have a prayer against someone who does unless you have a magical item? What on earth were Hook and Ariel going to do to Jafar? Ridiculous. Him working with the black fairy was written on the wall. The writers really messed this up and they really need to bring home this black fairy storyline to make up for this. I am not pleased.
As far as true love’s kiss restoring Agrabah and breaking Aladdin’s genie curse, I’m fine with it. No issues with that.
Have you watched Wonderland? A lot more Jafar there. Gives him a backstory and everything.
April 3, 2017 at 12:15 pm in reply to: 6 X 15 – A WONDEROUS PLACE – What was your favorite and least favorite moments #335504Jiminy’s JournalParticipantthe never before seen ring
What are you talking about, she was given that ring on the day she was born and she’s worn it every single day since.
–Pretty sure that’s not actually Jafar’s lamp/bottle from Wonderland!
You’re kidding me, right? You’re — you’re kidding me! I have yet to see these last three episodes (have heard such bad things), but did the writers even watch WL? Or S1, or 2, or 3?
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantI wrote a fic that explains that one.
While traveling back in time, Henry managed to run into teenage Baelfire and showed him Pokémon. This inspired him to consider the coconut Pokéball.
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantAnyway, to lighten the mood, here’s an adorable fic by StillSearching47. It also features Rumbelle. Chapter One is at the bottom.
Also, might as well repost my recent Swanfire fic, since I finished it:
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantSo, those new spoiler pics, huh? With the bug? It’s an insult. That’s THE Swanfire symbol, and they just — URGH!
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantWow. I can’t decide if it’s poetic that Regina dies for Emma, if it’s total queer bait, or it’s really bizarre (possibly all three?)
Also, what are the chances that we are totally misreading this…?
Zero, because when have we ever NOT figured out the big “twist” ending?
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantLana on FB has “former actor at Disney”
If true Lana is the big surprise. I thought she’d stick around
Doesn’t say that. Are you sure you checked her official page? It may have been an imposter.
It only says “Actor, Once Upon a Time.”
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantAs for Granny’s Ogre War, I am unable to recall this. When did she mention it?
Red-Handed
Found it!
She even says “second Ogres War.”
Jiminy’s JournalParticipantUhh talk about confusing…..well given what Rumple’s Girl laid out, is there still a timeline error? If the First Ogres War lasted a while, then there should be no issues right?
I don’t think so? It’s still seems like a bit of a stretch that the First Ogres War lasted from before Rumple left for war (and given how easy it was for Rumple to enlist, I think we can hazard a guess that the War was already well under way) until Baelfire was 8/9 but it’s not 100% outside the realm of possibility and it actually has some historical precedent.
For me it comes back to what @nevermore was saying: I shouldn’t have to miles of mental legwork to rationalize everything from the timeline to character motivation. Certainly not after 6 years.
Well, here’s the thing. Rumpel had the power to get rid of the ogres, as we know. That means Zoso has that power. The Duke could have ordered him to get rid of the ogres, but instead, he used him to keep his subjects in-check.
The Duke kept that war going.
As for Granny’s Ogre War, I am unable to recall this. When did she mention it?
