Jiminy’s Journal
ParticipantI’m not quite sure I’m buying Teri Reeves’ performance. Her line deliveries felt, for the lack of a better word, monotone? Maybe I need to see more of her to fully judge, as she didn’t get that much screentime here.
I got the same impression. She was pretty flat for me.
I was hoping for Anna Friel.

ParticipantPretty much this:
At least Zelena actually pointed this out and told Hades “but we just met!” I mean, you could tell that she’s seconds away from giving in but at least the writers made her say it first.
Well…

ParticipantThey messed up the birth order of Hades and Zeus.
–How does Dorothy know the Scarecrow? And how does the Scarecrow have a brain if the Wizard never gave one to him? And he never met Dorothy and had the proper Oz story?
Your questions are pointless (someone please gif that).

I was going to share this exact post.
But here’s some other stuff:
Ishtarelisheba: Rumpel and Nealfire.
Forgotten Characters of OUaT and CurvyCurlyGirly: ALL of this! Long post — may have language.
Mr. Gold’s Dearie, Stand By Your Mantis, Nothing Ever Lost, and The Star Thing: Colin VS Hook

The following are from Once Upon a PsychBlog. Its description:

A response to the above (Marty, is that you?).
A two-part thing, plus a video:

ParticipantThat sounds very nice, POM, but of course, it was Hook who pushed Zelena to use Neal to ressurrect Rumple. He wanted Neal dead so he could push himself on Emma. It all happened behind the scenes, of course, in that missing year.
Zelena knew Rumple was powerful and she wouldn’t DARE kill his son unless she was SURE that he will give up his dagger for the child. Hook saw him sacrifice for Bae and assured Zelena that he WILL sacrifice the dagger, and she can have him as her slave.
Hook got two wonderful things that he always wanted. Love, AND revenge. Emma will now be his, and he will watch from the sidelines how Zelena tortures Rumple in a cage and how Rumple grieves for the person he loved most. Just like Hook grieved for Milah.
It’s the only thing that makes sense. Therefore, it is my headcanon. And this is why I GET SO SCARED WHEN they involve Hook in things. Because I know he is a time bomb and he really shouldn’t know everything because he will hurt them with that knowledge.
It’s PLAUSIBLE headcanon, too. That’s the thing.
I hate Hook.

ParticipantI think back to S1 and there was no lack of drama but it was a great balancing act between the high drama of evil queens and magic and the more mundane drama of a young woman coming to a strange town, mother/son drama, family and friends drama. The show wouldn’t be this show without the high drama that involves magic and archetype hero/villain but it often feels like that *all* the drama is now. There are no quiet moments for anyone. And without the quiet, there’s no way to temper the larger-than-life drama that is so all consuming.
I just rewatched “Hat Trick.” THAT’S the show I miss.

ParticipantAdam Horowitz admitted a continuity error surronding a line Regina said when talking about ripping out her own story (something Henry, not Regina, actually did in S1):
@outlawgreys yes. That was a mistake. Hangs head in shame.
— Adam Horowitz (@AdamHorowitzLA) March 28, 2016
So, just goes to show important details often slip by.
Never mind the fact that she burnt the pages about the Curse, and that Henry already knew she was the EQ at the beginning of the series.
That passage on Hades reads like bad fanfiction.
Basically, one of those fics about someone’s morning routine.
