Non spoiler based speculation: Could Cora be the thing that prevented the curse from affecting that corner of the Enchanted Forest? I mean, she’s there and we know she’s good with magic, maybe she did something?

From what Rumple and Regina were talking about it seems like they had that little saved portion built into the curse.

From last weeks promo I think we'll have Snow and Cora interact right away. They seem to be in the dungeon and Snow seems to realize that Cora's dangerous when MM is standing very protectively between Cora and Emma

Hmm, guess I'll need to rewatch that preview then next time I get a chance – I don't remember that but a lot of stuff in that promo flashed by QUICKLY and I think even on my second watch I was paying closer attention to the episode itself. Were they all in the same shot?
