Emma isn’t from there, and she is so used to doing things her way, she normally doesn’t give a second thought to pulling her gun out and scaring the piss outta someone. It’s a natural reaction, unfortunately she is in a place where her natural reaction is a bad choice. Which leads to Snow saving her, and eventually them bonding.
