You know, looking back on those SF moments we had not one freaking kiss in present day. Hugs, exchanged ‘I love you’s as he’s being flushed once again down a bean hole, but no kiss. No cheek kiss in greeting. Not even a tender touch of lips on his forhead as he is dying in her arms. I come from a family of kissers. You say hello and goodbye by cheek kissing at least.
This just for some reason suddenly frustrates me greatly.

I’m sure it has very little to do with the fact that Emma’s TLKs tend to do things like, y’know, break curses and such. Since there is usually some sort of curse prevailing, they couldn’t have them kiss and have it break curses they didn’t want broken, nor did they want to prove (or DISprove, for that matter) him as Emma’s true love. It’s the same reason she couldn’t attempt to save him in the woods, you know? Even a kiss on the forehead – that’s how she saved Henry – and I would presume the same of a peck on the cheek. I don’t think the lack of kiss at any point was unintentional.
I’ve also personally always wondered if a SF TLK would have something to do with breaking the final strand of The Curse – kissing Henry (parental TLK) restored everyone’s memories but there was always that question of why they were still in SB. It’s just kind of my personal theory, but yeah. I don’t think we’ll see a romantic TLK from Emma until around the end of the series.
(As Slurpeez is fond of pointing out, CS has had literally an anti-TLK, removing E’s powers. So… there’s that.)

Yeah Jo. It’s frustrating and kinda sucks. “I love you” and variations on multiple occasions but nada on the kisses. For a show that’s so big on kisses…

So sad about Lisa. 🙁 I didn’t know her well but learning that someone you “know,” even just online, is gone is always heartbreaking. 🙁 May she rest in peace.

1) Favorite episode of 4A?
I think 4×11. It had some nice moments… and by ‘favorite’ and ‘nice’ I mean things that actually resonated emotionally.
2) Least favorite episode of 4A?
4×02. The words “Bo Peep” are now simultaneously profanity and a hilarious joke in my household.
3) Overall thoughts on the Frozen storyline?
Umm… I liked the Frozen characters. I LOVED the Emma-Elsa friendship. The Frozen bits were okay. The SQ bits, meh.
4) Favorite moment or arc within 4A?
I think I was, and remain, most intruiged by the book author plot. Favorite moments, I think I enjoyed the bits of the shattered sight spell where the show KNEW it was camp and played it as camp. Campy fun is fun when it’s intended to be campy…
5) Best Frozen Adapted Character?

6) Final Grade for 4A?
Ooh. C-? D+? It was better than 3B, IMO, but that’s not to say it was good. I did feel like 408-411 were stronger than the first part of the season, but honestly, it was pretty terrible. Characters did random stuff without spelled out motivation (Rumplestiltskin, I’m looking at you,) other characters were assassinated (Robin Hood,) they embarked Emma on a new relationship and spent no time examining the relationship itself. Most of the characters had OOC moments if not entire OOC arcs. Snow and David did absolutely nothing, Belle was MIA most of the time, they introduced the Henry-as-apprentice plotline but we never saw any follow up. MOST often, the best scenes of the episode were the deleted scenes. It was all pretty shoddy.

Weirdly enough, the CS relationship didn’t seem to effect things on Emma’s end… it was still Gold she turned to when her magic went all wonky. And I’m not sure how much of his crazy hat-sucking plan actually had to do with CS, honestly. It seemed more a crime of opportunity. But his motivations were so damn murky this season it’s hard to tell.
But if you can’t share an archenemy with your significant other, what can you share?
If you’re CS? Chemistry aside, Abso-freaking-lutely nothing.

I know right?! And here I was making fun of myself for getting six DAYS before Neal died. New record: -12 hours.
Nah. First, I am not shipping anywhere near as hardcore as I did (okay, okay – do) SF. Secondly, unlike SF where that truly might be the end, I don’t for a minute buy that it is with RB.
I’m only guessing since I haven’t been watching, but it seems like CS would basically destroy what little was left of the Golden Swan BrOTP by necessity. Because Emma can’t have an amicable relationship with Gold with Killian around, even if he is Henry’s grandpappy and Neal’s dad. And evil as heck, but that’s another story.
Yeah. Another reason why I dislike Emma and Hook dating. And Emma didn’t even question what sort of crap Hook got up to while Rumple had his heart. Nor did Hook volunteer what he did either. Will no one think of the nuns?!

Rumple coldly killing Emma seems really OOC.
It truly does. I kind of wonder, though, if he’s aware that the hat doesn’t actually kill people… just strips their magic and spits them back out when the deed is done. I mean, I can’t imagine the blue fairy is totally done, for instance, so there’s definitely a loophole. I’m just pondering if Rumple knows about it. He always seemed kind of fond of Emma in his own weird way. Plus, if there IS any motive to bring Bae back through all of this hat nonsense (as I’ve seen speculated elsewhere and wondered myself,) I can’t imagine he thinks destroying Bae’s TL is a productive thing to do. I mean… I know he’s kinda jacked up in the head right now, but the guy has one of the most solid understandings of TL of anyone out there, and it was clear that his opinion was that SF had it.

Slurpeez… I am soooooo glad it wasn’t just me!! I was driving to work this morning pondering last night’s ep and I was like, “I ship them? Since when!”
It was absolutely nailed by Bobby & Emilie, and the breakup was completely justified by Belle. He not only initiated the deception by giving her the faux dagger (which she never wanted in the first place) AND not admitting it when she questioned him. That’s a major deception upon which they started off their marriage and super not okay. Pushing him over the town line… maybe a liiitle harsh, yeah. But leaving him? Completely justified.
But the feels! Where did they come from?! I don’t ship it!

Things that are awesome: joining a fanbase and having most of your new friends co-ship your OPT and another duo. Spending nine months explaining apologetically that you don’t ship the other duo. Having other duo split and then realizing that maaaaaybe you do ship them, just a teeny tiny bit. (Glares at fanfic, as certainly that’s the cause…)
