Random thought to tack into awesome headcanon – knowing how writers like to turn things on their heads.
They made a big point of, “You let a man die for your ship.” I wonder if they will make it so Hook did indeed cast the curse, but make it altruistic – he let his ship go to save a man. If he knew about the Rumpeal situation, perhaps he thought he could get Emma to come back and save Neal with TLK. We know Hook thinks he loves Emma, but he isn’t sure she feels that way in return – so perhaps he sacrifices his ship as a last-ditch effort to save Bae?
I would not LIKE it but I can see the writers doing it as a method of redemption. :/

Thanks, Heather. Well, unless we get a Miracle on 322nd St, I’d say that’s pretty conclusive evidence that this was not a group decision between 2&3. You don’t joke like that when you know you’ve effectively been fired. (I have been there, literally – given 9 months notice that my job of many years was ending – and though it was extremely, extremely amicable I cannot imagine saying that when I knew I wasn’t going to have my job in a few months. Much like the supposed situation with MRJ, I wasn’t “fired” in the traditional sense, but at its baseline – yeah, I was. Just in the kindest, most loving way possible. Still stung a bit!!)
Slowly but surely, all of my ounces of goodwill are slipping away. IF we get MO322, then ok, but if no… I have few benefits of doubt left to give. I prefer to believe the best in people but d***… there are some things you can’t semantic & excuse your way out of. 🙁
Happy Easter, y’all! Sorry for the cranky post – today should be a day of joy & celebration (for those of us who observe it.) Think I’ll go focus on that for a while instead of this mess…

It brings up today’s thing, stuck in my craw. A&E say 3B is about home, Emma’s journey with regards to how to define it. She HAS defined it… it’s freaking Neal. Hi, would you like to watch 2×06? Should that journey not be REUNITING WITH HER HOME?

Except, RG, we know MRJ filmed around 319. I don’t think it’s an illogical assumption to figure this is likely one & the same.
Rainbow, I agree – character development in a dead guy is bad storytelling. Which is why I am wondering WHEN this is going back to – if we are going back to lost year, post-absorption, ok – then perhaps his FB are necessary to tell the other characters’ stories. But if it is ANY story that is Neal-centric, and not being told out of necessity to the development of other characters, that is a huge huge sign that he’ll be back. I suppose the question is, did Neal “surface” any other time in the lost year?
I am guessing this is 319, A Curious Thing, since the title quote could be about dealing with death – and then Kansas is the other part of Oz. Those could easily be flipped, though – ACT could also be Oz (slippers) with Kansas being Neal (August.) However, A&E wrote 319 and my gut just says it’s them following this story through; they also wrote 322.

But it sounds like 319 is new (flashback) footage, I guess that’s positive? Not really sure lol. From when? Lost year, after absorption? Before absorption? Some other time in the past?
I don’t mind reading spoilers but would prefer not having all of the details of the whole ep. Sigh. What’s a picky fan to do?

322 is a pit stop along Conspiracy lane
I sense perhaps we’re not so far apart in mind after all, we optimists & pessimists. Yes, there is for certain more going on here than meets the eye. What it is… that’s the real question.
Don’t misunderstand me – for all of my confidence that all is not as it seems, I DO have concerns that perhaps dead is dead, and my hope is misplaced. I feel almost like I am holding my breath, playing a giant game of chicken with the show – steeling myself to hang onto those monkey bars for just three more weeks, praying this tiny group I’ve found can hold out until then – while fully preparing to have egg on my face when it’s all done. And even if I “win,” is the story told worth it? A second question, entirely. I know that the burden of proof here falls onto my argument; “Neal’s dead and the show is going CS” seems so much more reasonable than “This triangle will reverse by season’s end – the dead guy will be back and the network’s darling will take his place in the grave.” Yet as I turn it over and over in my mind, watch the weirdness unfold, and observe what we are seeing through the filter of decades of ships… it’s where I keep ending up. Insanity, pure and simple, and the long shot. How is it that I allowed myself to fanbase because I had no question that my ship was endgame, yet here I am mere weeks later arguing in favor of endgame as the long-shot. Oh, the irony.
I question if we’re not about to see the resolution begin to build steam; we know precious little about 319 & 320 before launching into the weird bits we have of 321/322. Perhaps that accounts for the small peeps of noise we are hearing from the realm beyond the show’s closed doors – they all hunkered down through the low point and are beginning to peek out again. I ponder it, but I can’t say I believe it necessarily… that might be a bit too optimistic for even me.
The tent is portable; but hopping onto the train means crawling out from under my table in the corner and darn it I LIKE hiding here!! It is safe and warm, away from the hate and the drama that engulfs “out there.” The sky is falling, you know, or perhaps it has already fallen, but this hiding is my plan to survive through to the back end. Maybe we can reinforce the caboose, or move the darned table, right onto the train. Do y’all serve cocoa there? I do love a good conspiracy.
